Well, if you need any help, like someone probably already said, just ask around. Once you get to 10 posts, you get access to our new chat feature, so that'll make your life easier if you need some pointers.
(But don't purposely post stupid replies to get to 10 posts, that's frowned upon.)

It's alright to speak in your own language in Welcome topics and PMs, as long as you are able to speak English. We had a German here before, who didn't speak English, so I had to translate every single post of him... wasn't very fun. D:

But I have noticed the special sense of humor when SomeOne starts to shoot around.
I think that I will familiarize with this kind of humor.

These cookies, pumpkins, trophies and so on.
How can I get these things and what are their purposes?

Well, they are awards that you can win after events. There is the medals page at the navigation bar at the top of the forums page, and that tells you how you can collect them.

The 4 categories that I'm aware of are- Level Designer Contest, Rule Enforcement, Various, Events. LDC medals are given at the end of every LDC, the 20th has only just started so you could even enter, as I've seen level designing is your kind of thing. The rule ones are for staff members only, or user reps, or people who have reported spam and helped the forum to keep clean. Various are Runouw Votes (a semi-annual event, where you vote for people for different categories, like nicest user, best new member etc.) and Cookie which you get if you are awesome, and they can be nominated. Then Events are only really handed out once a year, depending on the holiday I suppose. The pumpkins are halloween medals, and you win them in mini-contests or the trick or treat event that was held last year.
