I'm doing pretty good, thanks. :) And, Last Legacy is different, but still a lot of fun. The Level Designer lets you do a lot more than SM63 too.

We've got a SM63 Level Design Contest running right now, if you want to jump in (though the deadline is coming up soon at 12/31). Otherwise, there's plenty of other things to check out. The Artwork area has plenty of places to show off your skills, be they graphical or programming, our Off-Topic area is actually really busy most of the time (If you are interested in really intelligent discussion, be sure to check out our Serious Discussion forum!), and of course, there's the Level Portal where you can submit levels for inclusion in the in-game databases for both SM63 and LL. For hangouts, there's an IRC Chat, a CyTube Chat, or just bouncing around in the main Off-Topic forum. The Wiki is starting to shape up to be a good resource now, too.

You'll find us to be a friendly, diverse, and talented bunch. Feel free to ask any of us User Representatives for help (the guys with the purple names). If we can't answer your questions, we know who to send you to, so that you can get your problems fixed. Be polite, and follow the rules, and you'll do just fine (we've actually worked very hard to make them both fair and easy to understand).

So, feel free to post your levels to the portal, and play all the other great levels there too! :)

Thank you, FF.

Rating standards: show
1 star: (0 - 5.75 in LDC) These levels need a lot of work. They're totally un-elaborated, and/or inherently flawed due to things like cutoff or enemy spam, or they're untested and there are too many bugs gameplay-wise, in short: Many many things went wrong in such a level.

2 stars: (6 - 9.75) These levels are not terrible, but poor. They're too short, lack scenery or they have errors and/or bugs but it's still barely enjoyable. Again, spend more effort and try to do better. (if it's your first level that I rate two stars, it's not bad. There's a long way you can still go)

3 stars: (10 - 12.75) These levels are about mediocre. They may be still a little bit short, the gameplay is fine but not very original and graphics are also solid, but not breath-taking. Try to keep improving!

4 stars: (13 - 15) These levels are nice, but not the best. Effort has been put into them, there can some professionality be seen in gameplay and graphics, they're a nice experience to play, but there are still things you can do to make it even better. Try to go the extra mile!

5 stars: (15.25 - 20) These are really great levels, those which, as said, I would give more than 15 in an LDC. These suffice many high requirements, and it already goes into subtleties if you want to make them better. These levels are successful all around. Bravo.

These are just general principles I try to follow when rating. Sometimes I don't leave a further comment when rating, most times I do, if you have questions about it, feel free to ask further.

Hello there, and welcome! I'm one of these guys with the light blue name that will approve or disapprove your levels. We shall approve your level if it's nice, and disapprove it if it's really bad. You can also feel free to ask us questions about the Level Designer, or about the level posting system.

Hope you have a nice time in the forums!
