Introducing myself: Nuclear_Blaze

Postby Nuclear_Blaze » January 15th, 2016, 7:43 pm

Hello Runouw community!

I am Nuclear_Blaze, though if you like you can call me Jordan. I first found out about Runouw through the game Super Mario 63 a few years back, and back then it was my favorite game to play by far. It's not my favorite now, but it is still up there in my top ten.

Some of my personal interests are: Reading, Video games, coding, and breaking games. (And no, I don't mean taking a game disc and breaking it in half ;P , I mean looking for glitches and exploits in games. which is why most of my levels that I post will probably have some glitch in them. I'm also very interested in mods for games because that requires you to actually change the code of the original game and have it run in place of the original.)

Anyways i'm not going to try to bore you guys anymore or take up any more of your time so this is all I have to say for now. . .

Yo, I'm Vesoralla.

I like quoting Spongebob, and I am a R.O.B. player in Smash 4 if that interests your coding personality.
Well, have fun.

Hello. We have some quite amazing levels to fully bring back your SM63 interest, for the record.

Thank you, FF.

Nan's sig! From the previous Secret Santa event!: show
Rating standards: show
1 star: (0 - 5.75 in LDC) These levels need a lot of work. They're totally un-elaborated, and/or inherently flawed due to things like cutoff or enemy spam, or they're untested and there are too many bugs gameplay-wise, in short: Many many things went wrong in such a level.

2 stars: (6 - 9.75) These levels are not terrible, but poor. They're too short, lack scenery or they have errors and/or bugs but it's still barely enjoyable. Again, spend more effort and try to do better. (if it's your first level that I rate two stars, it's not bad. There's a long way you can still go)

3 stars: (10 - 12.75) These levels are about mediocre. They may be still a little bit short, the gameplay is fine but not very original and graphics are also solid, but not breath-taking. Try to keep improving!

4 stars: (13 - 15) These levels are nice, but not the best. Effort has been put into them, there can some professionality be seen in gameplay and graphics, they're a nice experience to play, but there are still things you can do to make it even better. Try to go the extra mile!

5 stars: (15.25 - 20) These are really great levels, those which, as said, I would give more than 15 in an LDC. These suffice many high requirements, and it already goes into subtleties if you want to make them better. These levels are successful all around. Bravo.

These are just general principles I try to follow when rating. Sometimes I don't leave a further comment when rating, most times I do, if you have questions about it, feel free to ask further.

Hey everyone!

Nice to meet you peeps. I am looking forward to sharing my ideas to the world.

@vesoralla I think that R.O.B. is a decent character. My personal preference though is Ike.

@Supershroom Got any levels you could point me to?

Heyo. I'm OJ. Welcome 'n' stuff.

Just a tip, if you haven't found it yet, this thread is filled with interesting glitches and exploits for SM63 people have found over the years, so you can play with those. By the way, I 100% approve of your hobbies. <3

Also, the forums are a little bit quiet sometimes, so be sure to try joining the Chat some time (click the link in the top right corner of the page). It's usually pretty active and you'll get to know the community better that way.

Anyway, if you've ever got any questions or anything about the site, just ask someone in chat, post in Site Discussion, or PM one of us staff members--you can recognize us by the coloured names.

Happy level designing and forum browsing. Hope to see you around!

Howdy, I'm Karyete, nobody special. You seem like a cool guy.

If you're looking for something a little different, give LL a go. The designer is more complex and deep, but you can do a lot of cool things with it.

Enjoy the forums :3

There are good multiple ways to find them, the tier list (showing you the bosses of these days), the Best Level of Each Year lists and the Score ranking of the portal, which shows all levels with at least five ratings and the best on top. This fund of masterpieces is in fact even a better school to learn than any focused guides (which are also good to read though of course, especially on the Wiki).

@Karyete thanks your cool too. Now about Last Legacy. . . I in no way think that it is a bad game but, when I played it I didn't really enjoy it, not that that means no one else can enjoy the game like i'm sure you do, it's just not my style of game.

@Supershroom thanks! I'll be sure to check those out.
