This just in: Supershroom is psychic when it comes to choosing weed pictures. Go fig.

Well, Pull the Weeds is not going to disappear from Off-Topic any time soon, it's just not something we have chosen for this years games. The video game tournament will all be actual games you can play on your computer, and they are mostly picked from online streaming resources for old PC games like the Internet Archive.

Though forum games are not completely excluded from this year's games - the last event is still a Forum Hunt.

First off, no, we can't remove days from the Gaming Tournament. That's because the Gaming Tournament is 5 rounds long (so all duels can happen), and each round has to last 2 days because timezones.

Secondly, in my opinion at least, the Gaming Tournament is still a very important event. After all, Runouw.com is a community that greatly revolves around Gaming: Mario, Team Fortress 2, Minecraft (none of these games are going to appear in the Tournament, but still, we're gamers). I would even go as far as saying the Gaming Tournament is the central event of the Runolympics because it is quite important (to us), is a true test of gaming skills and, unlike LDCs and ACs, doesn't happen too often. So no, 10 days isn't overboard at all.

We've reworked the mechanism of the Forum Hunt so it isn't like that anymore.

I think we should have a Smash 3DS and Wii U tournament. Just without the tourney feature that still hasn't been made for some reason.
But the rules... customs or no customs, stocks, I guess that would take a while to make.
