Here's a better one:

Sometimes, if you do not make the time, you will not find the time.

Ok, Does EVERYBODY (except Team Super, apparently) need a couple more days?

Oh boy, I'm so sorry Doram but I will need 5 days. At the least.

Over half of the team became unresponsive (though MK I can understand since he said something like he had a headache a few days ago, but then he hasn't said anything on the forums after that).
Expect something cool here soon!

I can't speak for the rest of my team but here's how I see it. First, some backstory. Our plans were pretty wrecked. We had a rep picked for this event, but due to circumstances beyond everyone's control, he was not able to participate much because it's that time of the year where everyone goes back to school. So, our ace was gone right from the start. Raz, OJ and myself have been around but have also been facing problems, on top of that there's the fact that none of us have much experience with the designer. You'll also notice that Green is doing very poorly so far, and the delays (and cut events) have not exactly helped our cause. This will become relevant momentarily.

A pretty not ideal situation all around.

Now, if I was being a ♥♥♥♥, I'd vote no on an extension. My justification is twofold. First, obviously, we're doing badly, and it would make strategic sense to have competitors who don't have entries. Secondly, OJ pretty much made the entire thing in 10 hours, just a little while ago. We're inexperienced, lazy, and an extension is just more procrastination fodder.

I do think it could be useful to the 3/5 teams with nothing so far, if they carefully plan their remaining time around the back to school rush and the Forum Hunt (if it starts as planned, anyway), but let's be real.... time management is not our community's forte; in LDCs, it's even less so.

Take that how you will, I'm pretty neutral. The rest of my team might have something to say about it tomorrow though.

Look. I'm not gonna be awake in 2 hours to lock this thing, so you have a 2 hour extension that way. Someone from red and Dark, tell me if another week will let you finish something between now and then.
Magma wants a week, and the Crystal Clods are kinda throwing up their hands.

For me it was not an issue of procrastination or time management. I just simply got horrible luck and ended up having no time when I planned there to be time. I had to drive the Highway 17 (which is one of the most dangerous highways in the states mind you) on a day or two short notice, and even then I thought I was only going to lose 4 hours LDing at the worst. Instead that took up nearly the entire day, and in the end I lost 48 hours, not just because of that one driving event alone.
Expect something cool here soon!

I'm currently tweaking FF's level a bit. I guess I'll send you a PM until 11am CET, Doram?

Thank you, FF.

Nan's sig! From the previous Secret Santa event!: show
Rating standards: show
1 star: (0 - 5.75 in LDC) These levels need a lot of work. They're totally un-elaborated, and/or inherently flawed due to things like cutoff or enemy spam, or they're untested and there are too many bugs gameplay-wise, in short: Many many things went wrong in such a level.

2 stars: (6 - 9.75) These levels are not terrible, but poor. They're too short, lack scenery or they have errors and/or bugs but it's still barely enjoyable. Again, spend more effort and try to do better. (if it's your first level that I rate two stars, it's not bad. There's a long way you can still go)

3 stars: (10 - 12.75) These levels are about mediocre. They may be still a little bit short, the gameplay is fine but not very original and graphics are also solid, but not breath-taking. Try to keep improving!

4 stars: (13 - 15) These levels are nice, but not the best. Effort has been put into them, there can some professionality be seen in gameplay and graphics, they're a nice experience to play, but there are still things you can do to make it even better. Try to go the extra mile!

5 stars: (15.25 - 20) These are really great levels, those which, as said, I would give more than 15 in an LDC. These suffice many high requirements, and it already goes into subtleties if you want to make them better. These levels are successful all around. Bravo.

These are just general principles I try to follow when rating. Sometimes I don't leave a further comment when rating, most times I do, if you have questions about it, feel free to ask further.

All Right, Team Dark, Crystal Clods, Team Super. You guys are done; submissions accepted. Team Magma, and Red Team (who I haven't heard from at all), you both have 1 week extensions. That means that as soon as I get home from work this afternoon, the Forum Hunt is on.
