So uh, I think people are going after two separate problems here. We're all aware that judging takes a while and I don't think anyone expects Doram to magically be able to push them out tomorrow. This is not one of the problems currently in the spotlight.

The first one is that MoD wants to know if a certain judge for the art contest (which concluded months ago now) would be willing to provide his judgings. There are a whole host of complications regarding why they weren't submitted, but I'm not capable of discussing that in an unbiased way at the moment so I simply won't. Suffice it to say that whatever potential, legitimate complications there may have been, an explanation is long overdue. Unless I'm tragically misunderstanding something, MoD (and quite a few others, I'd wager) just want some closure. Are the results done? Let's suppose they are, can we see them then? Let's suppose they aren't... well, is the judge in question planning to do them? If they are, cool, we can wait. If they aren't, alright, it's fine, ♥♥♥♥ happens. The thing is, there's been absolutely no closure, and it's understandable that people deeply invested in the art contest would be upset over this. Especially when it's as simple as a 5-second post clarifying whether we'll ever see them. Such an answer has not been given, and these people have literally been waiting since the beginning of August, or longer.

The second problem is mine, which I've already summed up as well as I'm going to a couple pages back. This is another subject I can't discuss neutrally without getting dangerously close to all out flaming, so I'm just gonna leave it there.

In either case, the cause and solution are relatively similar, which is why I'm still posting here at all. We feel, as it was so eloquently put earlier "like it's disrespectful that basically for the reason of ♥♥♥♥ you Ebenezer won't even let us know" what the current situation is. And you know, it absolutely is disrespectful to keep an entire community waiting while pretending like you aren't. I can't blame people for being upset/butthurt/furious/your adjective of choice about that at all.

And it's only going to get worse until it finally is addressed properly by the offending party.

I have no problem with people getting irritable over the lack of closure, but we've got so far without too much drama and I don't want to fall at the last hurdle.

Hey, so, SK appeared for a moment in the chat and explained he was having a lot of trouble with time and RL stuff, and told that if he really had just a little tiny bit of time he would send at least a small message to you guys. He also said he was pretty sorry about having to abandon the RO, because he was dealing with so much stress he had no other choice.

Also he said to expect the Art Contest judgings this weekend. Bring your hopes up, but not too much.

We can only graveyard this once we have both the Art contest judgings and the full SM63 results. I've recently judged a pile of non-representative entries that Nwolf never sent to Doram, and so far I have no answer from him if he uses my judgings or keeps waiting (which I seriously hope he doesn't). And then we also miss a third judge for me and FL. I've asked Ven and he told me he might take a look over it, but also no further response from him yet.

Rating standards: show
1 star: (0 - 5.75 in LDC) These levels need a lot of work. They're totally un-elaborated, and/or inherently flawed due to things like cutoff or enemy spam, or they're untested and there are too many bugs gameplay-wise, in short: Many many things went wrong in such a level.

2 stars: (6 - 9.75) These levels are not terrible, but poor. They're too short, lack scenery or they have errors and/or bugs but it's still barely enjoyable. Again, spend more effort and try to do better. (if it's your first level that I rate two stars, it's not bad. There's a long way you can still go)

3 stars: (10 - 12.75) These levels are about mediocre. They may be still a little bit short, the gameplay is fine but not very original and graphics are also solid, but not breath-taking. Try to keep improving!

4 stars: (13 - 15) These levels are nice, but not the best. Effort has been put into them, there can some professionality be seen in gameplay and graphics, they're a nice experience to play, but there are still things you can do to make it even better. Try to go the extra mile!

5 stars: (15.25 - 20) These are really great levels, those which, as said, I would give more than 15 in an LDC. These suffice many high requirements, and it already goes into subtleties if you want to make them better. These levels are successful all around. Bravo.

These are just general principles I try to follow when rating. Sometimes I don't leave a further comment when rating, most times I do, if you have questions about it, feel free to ask further.

Just be patient. I don't know how many of you people actually follow the news or not, but a terrorist attack just happened in France last night, which is, in fact, the country in which SK lives, and I wouldn't be surprised if he has friends/family that might have been affected by the tragedy in Paris. With this on top of all of the other stress he's been under IRL, posting his judgings probably isn't his highest priority right now. Expect delays.

Hope you're okay and everything, SK.

Just living in a country across the sea from France has had me deeply disturbed by this event, so I can't imagine what it must be like for people living there and having to deal with the after effects. My thoughts and prayers go out.

This could be off-topic but I felt it needed to be said regardless.

Digging out the AC judgings actually may be more complicated than it sounds because Doram sent his to him and not vice-versa ... We actually like to see them first in any form possible, shiny format etc. can come later.

Regardless, all my condolences.
