An Interview with Runouw on the chat.

I know part of the image is cut off. He says "...if people can't wait for the next demo." The full image shows the whole thing (if you save it to a file and stuff).
So guess I'll hold an LL LDC. :troll:

(18:44:47) AwesomeJRFD: Hello Runouw!
(18:44:48) AlucardX60: Ohai Runouw.
(18:44:49) MKSTAR26: OK, that's kinda freaky.
(18:45:00) MKSTAR26: Ohai Runouw?
(18:45:01) AlucardX60: What? It's not the first time.
(18:45:18) MKSTAR26: I have 101 unread emails.
(18:45:20) MKSTAR26: Wow.
(18:45:24) AwesomeJRFD: How's Last Legacy going?
(18:45:36) MKSTAR26: *bites lip*
(18:45:56) Runouw: Last legacy is going well...
(18:46:11) Dark_Meta_Knight: Hey Run.
(18:46:37) MKSTAR26: OMG HE DIDN'T CAPITALIZE LEGACY *is shot*
(18:46:38) AlucardX60: That's good. Any idea on a LLLDC? (heh three L's)
(18:46:43) MKSTAR26: Ohai Runouw.
(18:47:08) Runouw: Umm, I think I will be holding a contest as soon as the next version comes out.
(18:47:09) MKSTAR26: Is that really Runouw, or just Suyo with his monkey code?
(18:47:20) MKSTAR26: *is shot again, then permabanned*
(18:47:23) Aznchau4ever|Nya~: I wanted to host it. :<
(18:47:25) Runouw: I don't know when it comes out, but I'm pretty sure it will be before the end of summer.
(18:47:37) AlucardX60: It's Runouw MK.
(18:47:51) AwesomeJRFD: Are you ever going to update SM63 after you're done with Last Legacy?
(18:47:56) Dark_Meta_Knight: probably Runouw I can tell. And Suyo would be sleeping at this time.
(18:48:26) Runouw: Well, actually, (I haven't told Suyo this yet) But I am perfectly fine with a few unofficial Last Legacy contests if people can't wait for the next demo.
(18:48:55) Runouw: Anyway, I have to go now, sorry.

I really like the 4th line from our beloved Administrator; he's very fine with a few Unofficial LL Contests. I really want an Unofficial LL Contest because I just can't wait. :awe:

Hate to break it to ya, but just cos he said we could hold a contest doesn't mean YOU get to do it. The staff ALWAYS holds the LDCs. Runouw may not be aware of this, but Buffooner has had dibs on the first LL LDC since the demo came out. So yeah. Am I getting this right?

Anyone else can hold an LDC before me, so it's fine if Runouw does one. It's his game after all.

I didn't say I will/want to host it. I agree with the bold text.

As long as it's been made official by staff members, I don't think they HAVE to be the only ones who can host a contest; but, yeah, as I said, it needs to be official, approved by staff and whatnot. If, for example, Alu wants to host a certain LDC (or in this case, LLLDC) contest before we've really delved into any plans with it, I personally have no problem letting him do it as long as he discusses with us all his plans for the contest, and of course we have approved them.

I think an LLDC would be good. If I was to host a contest, it would be organized like the LDC's are, except an LLDC would probably be better because we can toy around with the designer a lot more and create cool effects. If staff says I can host, that's fine. If staff says no, that's fine too. It's all a matter of what the staff thinks. They shouldn't worry about free time; today is my last day of school, and I'll be out for the summer, so I'll have PLENTY of time. :)

But yeah, it's all dependent on the staff's decision.

EDIT: And even though we can toy around, I suggest we start out with a simple theme, like Grasslands or Castle, just to get everyone comfortable with the idea of a LLDC.

So, where would we discuss plans for an LL LDC, if we don't have access to all the mod forums? The chat, maybe?

And yeah, I changed my mind after I saw what you guys are saying here. I now think that the 1st unofficial LL LDC should be hosted by staff, and then after that then users can discuss creating LL LDCs. I made an unofficial LDC, not knowing that it had to be done a certain way, and it got locked. I guess we just learn from our mistakes. :)

Yeah. They would have to be approved by staff first.

Oh, I just thought of an excellent prize! A prize for winning the LDC would be a chance at hosting an LDC. It may not be that good of an idea, but like I said, it's a CHANCE, not a certainty. Just something for mods to think about giving, rather than medals and images and stuff. Or, they could be honored with a temporary promotion, like up to User Rep or Chat Mod for a day or so. The first idea is probably the best, though. Modship for regular members, even temporary, might not be such a good idea. But, then again, it's just an idea.
