Oh, I just thought of an excellent prize! A prize for winning the LDC would be a chance at hosting an LDC. It may not be that good of an idea, but like I said, it's a CHANCE, not a certainty. Just something for mods to think about giving, rather than medals and images and stuff. Or, they could be honored with a temporary promotion, like up to User Rep or Chat Mod for a day or so. The first idea is probably the best, though. Modship for regular members, even temporary, might not be such a good idea. But, then again, it's just an idea.

Heh, we did stuff like this at the site where my foruming career began. For SSBB stges, that is. Worked pretty well. As in the winner creates a contest concept.

I'll put in my two cents and say yes, that'd be nice. IT'd really give more people an incentive to maybe join, and perhaps more variety with the contests. I don't think there's really anything wrong with not having a staff member host an LDC, I mean, if a person is willing to work hard to win first place on the contest, then they will most likely be trustworthy enough to handle hosting it.

Good point. It takes a lot of effort to make a great level, so... yeah. It's just an idea, though.
