I would like to file a complaint...

Postby Chessplayer » May 27th, 2011, 1:23 pm

Hello.

About a month ago, I posted a level designer thread to show off my levels in, and got a message saying that my thread would have to be approved before it could be publicly shown and that I would be notified when it was. Well, it has been over a month now, and I have yet to receive a message either way. I don't know if my thread was approved or denied, or if it has even been looked at yet!

I understand that there are many, many threads that need to be approved every day, but I have read in the forums that it usually takes about two weeks, and I have been waiting twice as long. Additionally, around the same time, I posted another thread that WAS approved, but I didn't know about it's approval until 3 days later because, again, the mods failed to notify me.

This is becoming increasingly annoying. I don't care if my thread is denied, as long as I'm told about it! Please fix this.

Thank You.

Every (dis-)approval sends a message by default. I don't think the mods disable this every time as I see no reason to do that. I will look through the moderator logs to see if you thread was accidentally disapproved.

EDIT: Seems like your level topic was accidentally disapproved twice, once by MessengerOfDreams, and once by me.
The other interesting thing I found though is that actually no messages are sent at all. That might be a bug in the forum software. I'll be posting this in the Forum Bugs section and take care of it as soon as possible.

Also, while two weeks would definitely be the maximum time it would take for us to handle your posts, it should never take any longer than 24 hours.
