THE COMMUNITY POLLS
are polls that are held by me, and may be influenced by previous discussions between other members, and moderators. These polls will ask for an opinion from the members of Runouw.com (all members are welcomed, not just veterans and well-known people), and you will all be able to vote in a poll according to a question.
The poll's question will change according to what issues need to be resolved, and what issues need to be voiced on and a judgement delivered.
For bored people, tl;dr: these polls ask for your vote on different stuff that'll help Runouw.com.
NOTE TO MODERATORS: All opinions voiced by the members (implying active members of Runouw.com) are merely opinions, and you have all rights to reject them.




Current Poll Question: How should the Level Designer forum's stickied topics be organized?
As you may or may not know, the Level Designer forum has a multitude of topics which have been stickied. The general view on them by the people has been that they are disorganized, and some of them can be unstickied. So, how would you prefer it? Vote in the poll!

Also, if/when you post, it would be very helpful to answer these questions:
-What topics would you personally unsticky?
-Do you think there is another way to keep all the topics in view without the clutter?
-Do you feel that some topics are redundant, and if so, which ones?

I'm not gonna vote just yet, but i know that the 18th LDC can be unstickied now but there are also some glitch tutorial topics which are very important too IMO..

YES. THANK YOU.

I'm still kinda lost as to why there's so many stickies in the LD forums anyway. I mean, look at Forum Games. One of the most active forums on the site, and it has only six (a good few which have also been dead...). In the LD forums, a noticeably less popular forum, there's 13. Not counting the announcement section. And to be honest, most of them seem to be unnecessary.

Let's see. LDP Rules, LDP Ban Log, LDC Topics and Vaults, MoD's Tier List, Level of the Week, Contest Theme Suggestions, the Duelling Arena, and that's all that should be stickied or listed in the Announcements. Why? Because those topics form the basis of every other topic that's currently stickied, and provide a comprehensive first glance at the level designing community. Everything else? Unsticky or merge with one of those posts.

Now because I have nothing to do tonight I also took the liberty of combining similar topics (this list includes all stickied topics and LD Announcements):

-LDP Ban Log (stays its own topic)*
-LDC Hall of Fame (again stays the same)*
-Tutorial Thread, Every Proven Glitch and Idea for this Known to Man, Level Code Documentation (all topics related to the more advanced tricks of level designing)*
-Level Posting Rules, CONTESTS (Please Read Before Attempting to Create a Contest) (because I really don't see the point of having the rules, and then a separate topic for what's essentially a glorified rule)*
-Dueling Arena, The Dueling Arena Tournament, Dueling Arena Vault and Statistics! (all very similar topics, with very similar layouts... do we really need three? Maybe just a spoiler devoted to each aspect of it in the main post on the front page)
-Contest Theme Suggestions (its own topic still)
-The New Official Level Of The Week! (another loner topic)
-MoD's Revised Level Designer Tier List (these topics are so antisocial, but I feel this could possibly be combined with LDC Hall of Fame)
-Current LDC Topic
-Current LDC Vault
-Best Levels of Each Year (as a replacement to the several WITBLO-- topics on the go currently)

Where * denotes topics that would be found in the Announcements section up top. It still leaves 11 topics total, but only seven would actually appear in the main LD forum.

Again, just my two cents, but I really don't see why there's so many topics when simply merging two or three very similar topics would free up a lot of space and save a lot of trouble for someone looking for a specific glitch, or when someone assumes that making a contest is fine because it's listed in a separate topic and not in the obvious place to look. I'd do it myself but no LeMod powers :p

I had an idea that we could have one giant topic where we link to the less important stickies (dueling vault, tier list, WITBLO processing topics) and then desticky them.

Make a sub-forum with all the LD stickies.
