I think it should be more like three months for a custom title at the most because unlike usernames, they don't affect the way the forum works.

well it should be reset so that people aren't spoiled all the time. Maybe if they DID reach 2000 posts, there is no reset time.

3 months is a good reset time.

Or maybe it could depend on your amount of posts.

1-50 = Not allowed at all

51-200 = 1 year

201-400 = 6 months

401-1000 = 3 Months

1000 or more = No reset time

Hmm. I can't help but think Custom Ranks deserve to be earned, not just given out by a postcount system. The reason general post ranks were changed to topical ones was so people would stop postcounting to become veterans since pretty much everyone has a cool post-rank. I don't want people to postcount for a cool rank. So I'm trying to think up a system where they're earned.

As for reset times, I would say I'd be lenient but not like every day try on a new one.
