Hey, has anyone tried Chazz? It's free, it's just like any other chat, and it is simple to use! Just go to app.chazz.io!

(I'm in Lobby! Just enter your nickname and click join!)

It's a good suggestion, our current system is far from what many users would see as an ideal system.
But part of the appeal of using the current IRC is that it requires a username/password combination to sign into. In the past there have been several incidents with banned users and trolls, where they could easily bypass chatbans simply by changing their name and then continue to generally make the chat an unpleasant place. That's what we're hoping to prevent on this chat, and Suyo already has the infrastructure for it in place.
Could he do it on a different chat? Maybe. Would it be the best use of his (and to a smaller extent, our) time? Not really. It's not a bad suggestion at all- it's always nice to have a backup chat on hand, but for most day to day usage the increased security (and customization ability if you have a personal chat client) are preferrable.
