He just wanted our opinion. He never said he'd be releasing it anytime soon.
Disclaimer: none of these messages have been edited, context can be provided if needed (thanks discord!) but absolutely does not change anything about these messages and that he's too overly defensive and cocky to make situations better

Well for those people that want the new layout, maybe you can give a choice between layouts. like a button on the bottom of the page that says "switch to old forum layout". That would be better. I like the black theme better.
I may no longer be on runouw.com anymore, however I will still check runouw.com for messages, make A sm63 level now and then, but I just got bored here on runouw.com. I think runouw.com is a great site, but I have other things I need to do. Thank you to all that have helped me and goodbye.

I'm just going to bring this back up. Only because I've been playing with the code on here, adding some HTML5 stuff out of boredom, removing nasty coding, cleaning up things, etc.
I'm only saying that the layout is just a little outdated, and with new design syntax being utilized by websites online, we are being left behind. Should we try to upgrade our site a bit, or clean up some things? Add in features, or change values on current ones?
We have new smilies, after all. We're definitely showing we like new and fresh things, and there are a few people who can make things like this happen. (I'm about to finish my first webdev course and move on to another shortly)
Personally, though, I'd love to see this happen, even if it was just to give the option to users what style to use(this is also a preset option in UCP, by the way). So yeah, mind too much if I bring this back up for our newer users to see?

we are not being "outdated" or "left behind", this layout is perfectly serviceable
the option would be nice for those who wanted the new layout though

I stopped working on the design because more people said they preferred the old layout over having a new one.

No offence, but I went through the entire topic again, and unless I fail at understanding English, I only counted 3 members (2 of which are gone now) that were against the change. The rest of us were either neutral or definitely in favor. So I'm not sure how you got that idea.
The only problem we had is whether we choose the light one or the dark one.

If the general attitude is really towards improving the look of the site, I guess I can give it another go. But I want to make it more of a community thing to improve the theme. Maybe I'll make a github project or something.
