It's because of cookies. Cookies are data that is stored in your web browser for a set amount of time.
Some websites, like Runouw, store cookies in two different places, 'www.runouw.com' and 'runouw.com.'
Switching between these two sets of cookies can cause issues like the one you have just experience.
If you browse the website for a little bit on 'www.runouw.com,' and then switch to 'runouw.com,' you have just changed the cookies the website is trying to access. This also means your login information will no longer work on this new set of cookies. But if you change it back to 'www.runouw.com' it will resume normally with your login information.
To get even more technical, the way it works is this:
1) You try to open a web page.
2) The website then asks for your cookies.
3) Your browser sends the requested cookies.
4) You receive the web page.
When the website asks for cookies, your browser sends the cookies for the domain you are trying to access, e.g. 'runouw.com' and 'www.runouw.com'
You don't have to get it, btw. Just thought I would say this.
Also my brain hurts. A lot.
