For Future Reference

Anyone hosting a contest thread, (RV, LDC, WITBLO, etc.) please take the time to reupload any images used in the original post and results post. After skimming through a few threads. There are a lot of avatars, signatures, and banners that were either deleted, changed, or otherwise altered. Especially so with avatars. Copying and pasting the image url of an avatar directly from the site means that it will appear to be whatever that user's avatar is currently, not at the time of posting.
I recommend imgur, as it's a very reliable and organizable imagehosting site.
Thank you.

WHY DO AVATARS AND SIGNATURES MATTER?

If you're using them for reference and then they change, you can't know what it was originally.

For future reference, imgur removes images after 6 months of no views. So, not exactly foolproof, but still better than nothing.

That was me, sorry. A lot of my images are used in topics and stuff.
It's because the bandwidth limit on my photobucket account was reached. Now I have a solution for anything I can turn into a .jpg file, but anything that needs to stay .png, I upload it to imageshack as it's the only one that works for me. Yes I've heard it has viruses, and apparently imgur is the best to use, but imgur won't even work for me. So that's my solution for it right now.

@Mp3 I had a time when Imgur didn't work for me either (and by that I mean the site itself wasn't loading) and I contact them via fb page and they told me to use OpenDNS and the problem should be solved. For me it works now so you may try adding OpenDNS to your router (sometimes may need to reset the router), otherwise consider using dropbox.

I use Photobucket to upload my pixel art, TinyPic for WIP posting, and dA usually for posting my actual artwork. Other than that, I'm usually set.

Imgur tends to be buggy on my end when uploading from the main site. My suggestion is to use imaer. It lets you upload graphics without opening your browser and sends tjem straight to i.imgur.com
there is also iaza if you only need the image to be hosted for 90 days.
