spambots hate us
a lot of banned, irrational and notorious members hate us
it's more than likely that they're flooding the site in minor DDoSes

As you all noticed, we recently had a site outage. It was mostly due to the fact that phpBB has some garbage collection issues, and as a result of THAT, the Database size for the forum went over our host's limit of 2 GB. This has been a problem with that host for a while, so instead of trying to put a bandage on this again, we have moved server hosts. Everything was copied as of the moment the site went down, so we should not have lost anything. Rounouw and the rest of the staff are testing everything out and making sure everything is working smoothly in our new home. Please bear with us as we finish that process.

 Ok, quick postmortem. We had a crash of sorts yesterday, but it was just the database. No idea why yet, but our illustrious site-owner restarted the database and all was well. This did, in fact knock out every website hosted on the server, and that included lastlegacy.us as well as us.

If I get any more info on this I will edit it into this post, but that's all for now. The site is back, and it's back to business!

The database crashed again ( and sorry for not posting in here the last couple of times). It's up and working fine now.

Still investigating the cause.

...yeah. The daily crash is annoying me as much as it is annoying you, I can promise you that. I can also promise that I am doing everything in my power to figure out what is going on, and how best to stop it from being a problem ever again.

Please hang in there. In the mean time, join us on chat, which is not on the same server, and thus not going down all the time.
