A New Group

Postby MICrophone » April 5th, 2010, 1:49 pm

Buffooner, in the website suggestions topic, wrote:I was wondering about groups. We have that section in the User Control Panel that is about Usergroups but we only have Registered Users and Moderators. Maybe we could have more, something that you can get into for doing something around the site.

Well, Buff got his wish. A new usergroup has been created (Runouw actually came on chat to announce it! :D ) called Level Moderators. Level Moderators have the ability to delete SM63 portal levels that break rules. This group is open to all members, and you can join by applying for membership in the group in the User Control Panel. What do you guys think of this new feature?

Actually, we both discovered it independently [L2]. I PM'd Runouw about it before you brought it up in chat. But that's neither here nor there.

To clarify, it's not a mega facepalm. There is a new group called moderators that has just been separated from the global moderators group. The moderators group has technically always existed, but always was grouped with the global moderators. Fourinone has actually always a moderator, while Suyo and Niklaw have been global moderators. However, an interesting thing about this new official group is that, like the Level Moderator group, you can apply to become a moderator.

Didn't I just say this? [L2] is technically right guys. Moderators and global moderators have always been one group under the latter name (even though individually, Suyo and Niklaw were global mods and four a regular mod) up until now. However they have now been separated, and as such moderators is technically a new group.

This makes me so mad!

I could be a type of moderator!

And yet I can't because of my computer!

Anyway, I nominate Kimonio and Kirby999, they live for the LDP.

Well since we got a new usergroup, I'm happy! But I'm for loss at how they are picked and who will pick them. Can a mod do it? Or will it just be Runouw?

The "group leader" chooses. I'm not quite sure who that is for each group…
