Site Lag

Recently whenever I get on the Runouw forums I get major lag, unlike any other site. In fact, as I'm typing this message I see my message being typed in in slowmotion, letter by letter. Has anyone else experienced that? I imagine it has something to do with the Adobe Flash Player (possibly because of the animated image above the forums). It is quite notorious and I felt like this needed to be addressed.

The mobile version's performance speed dropped a lot, since the animated header picture was changed to HTML5.
However, I'm only noticing a bigger difference if I'm using my 3DS. As I'm reading that, you should experience this lag for some weeks already. : P

I don't think it's a site problem, it's probably the device you're using. Have you tried visiting the site somewhere else, at school for example, to compare the speed?

It is most definitely tethered to the HTML5 header. Now I know why the header is still displayed after I checked to hide the Flash header.
And no, it isn't my PC. I've tampered with this thing enough that I know it has nothing to do with this. In fact, it happens on my Kindle, and my other laptop, which I also have been optimizing a bit.
Try running the site in a hidden window, and then run something like The Power Toy or Minecraft, or even Steam games. The HTML5 will eat away at your FPS.
As far as I am aware, 3DS and DSi have HTML5 functionality, so both should have no problem. Then again, both don't run the web browser in the background.
If at all possible, please allow us the option to disable it or not, because for some of us, this greatly affects more than just the site on our end.
(Quite frankly I can cite that if I have the site open in another tab, and am trying to watch Youtube, my videos will be buffering every couple of seconds. This has never happened before, and doesn't happen when the site is closed out of)

I get this on my phone as well, just my phone though. It is a Blackberry Q10 running software version 10.2.1.2297, default internet app. I don't really phone often so dunno if this information is relevant, but I can find more if necessary (may need a tutorial though).
Unable to test if it is the header or not as the option in the UCP does not do anything. Perhaps we could get rid of it?

Hmm... that's really strange, now I'm not experiencing any lag. I've no idea what caused this if not flash (that would be my no. 1 guess) and I was using PC with Firefox. And as for comparing speeds, no not yet.
