I don't like the lines for eyes. And maybe the border should be thicker. I like the middle-most blue one.

So, 1 vote against technical, and 1 vote for Blue Negative. So, if you don't like Technical, which other style do you like, realistic, or hand drawn? Do you want me to try for a combination of hand drawn and realistic?

BTW I don't have a favourite right now, so far my opinion is leaning me to the current smilies over any of the exmaples.

I like the style of those ones at the bottom of the OP, especially the first one (steam-style?). :troll: should definitely be removed, or at least be hidden. I personally don't actually use the image smilies anyway, though, so... I don't know. I'm definitely down for new smilies, though, because seeing the current ones in posts kind of makes me want to vomit. Again, though, you could just hide the old ones in the same way that you're hiding the troll one, maybe by changing to code to have "old" immediately after it or something. The old smilies that are still in posts would be replaced with the new ones, but if people still want to use the old ones, they can.
Please try to keep the sizes of the images down, though. We definitely don't need a massive list of them taking up the entire sidebar in the posting thing. It already seems really long to me.

They are only going to be a few pixels bigger each, and shrunk down from a much bigger pic (making fine detail better). It shouldn't make the listing all that much bigger, hopefully. And generally, I'm just going to replace the existing ones. The differences are really not going to be big enough to warrant keeping the old ones available. Keep an eye on the first post to see them as I finish them.
