While I totally agree that using your words is the primo number one best way to solve any problem, I HAVE used these, mostly when I have been describing my reactions to my own actions. Sometimes I facepalm myself, and that's Ok, because once I realize I have made a mistake, I can then start to try and fix my mistake. As with many things in life, these smilies are tools. They can be used to heal or to harm. And, yes, using them to minimize what you are trying to tell a person about themselves is not their best use, and in the worst situations can cause more confusion than they can bring clarity. but surrounded with the fine details that show that you are paying attention, and actively involved in a conversation, they can bring a touch of humour and humanity to an otherwise lifeless block of text. That's why I am not just removing them, but I am segregating them into areas where they will be less commonly accessed. Once there are hidden smilies, there is a new link at the bottom of the smilie listing on the posting page, which opens a popup with a full listing of the smilies. There they will sit, until they are needed, and I hope all of you will find them as useful as I do.

Also, finalizing the Surprised, and adding the hat to Uber Geek that someone requested yesterday.
