He means "to the point". There's no way anyone can type as much as Doram does without slipping a spelling error in there.

Wait lol, my "view your posts" link is the one I've used to look at my topics since the beginning of time.

And most interesting of all is my not realizing there were two independent search tools under identical hyperlinks. Probably because the author search was one click too far away, as well as its being rendered useless due to my activity on Razigrad and the forum games. Include those posts in the counter, and I'd have a thousand. Though it could be useful for moderators, I don't picture myself relying on that on a regular basis.

Although my vote was initially cast on its being removed from the header, I do feel that Egosearch needn't be removed from the main page altogether, but rather be reassigned to View New Posts' header, and have Active Threads and possibly Unanswered Posts be removed instead.

As for the header itself, the button menu seems to have been designed with the Main Page in mind, consequently not being useful to those within the forums. It doesn't seem possible to edit that part of the header without affecting the main page's design, but assuming it was, the Chat, Wiki and FAQ hyperlinks could easily be assigned buttons, with the Games hyperlink being the only button of the original bar still in the reworked menu. You could also have some lists scroll when a user clicks/hovers over some buttons, although it could be counter-intuitive from the perspective of mobile devices and small screens in general.

I use Newposts all the time, everyone else seems to use Egosearch (which appears to be the "View your posts" link in question) all the time. I think both should be in the header somewhere, or at least somewhere on the main page. Unanswered Posts/Active Topics don't seem to be very useful, but since they're default search options, they should probably stay where they are.

Or maybe just put a list of thread search options underneath the search bar? Egosearch, newposts, active, unanswered... Something like this:

[____________________________________________________________] [Search]
View your postsView new postsView active topicsView unanswered postsAdvanced search

And then leave that other post search thing in users' profiles and UCP.

I use "view your posts" EVERYTIME I COME ON HERE.
Please don't remove it.

"I guess not. It IS on my Profile and User Control Panel."

The thing is that it's NOT on your profile or your user control panel, so if it's removed from the header, it won't be anywhere.

If for some reason votes for "I guess not. It IS on my Profile and User Control Panel." don't count because of that, please assume I've changed mine to "No. Hate it. Kill it with fire."

I won't actually because then it'd be tied, and getting rid of it (something I very much want, because there are far more effective ways of browsing the forums) is currently in the lead

You can change your vote.

Also, while I don't use it, I still think that we should have multiple options to browse the forums. Maybe people don't want to see countless Forum Games threads clogging up their feed of new posts. I don't know. I can see why people use it, and it doesn't make sense to force everyone to use exclusively View New Posts or manual forum browsing if that's what they prefer.

Well, I guess the only other possibility is a new option for adding a switch in your profile to turn it on or off in the header. Satisfies both crowds, since this is evidently controversial.
