I don't use it personally, but I still think that we should keep all of the options somewhere just in case somebody wants to use them. I like having lots of search options, even if I don't use all of them. Whether we put them all in the header or in the UCP somewhere, I don't really care (I guess I kind of agree that just putting a link to all of these in the UCP would be better anyway [that includes putting an actual egosearch link there, not just the post author search]), but it would be nice to be able to easily access all of them without having to look up the special search ID name every time.

But yeah, in any case, if we're actually going through with the re-arrange, which I really want to see happen, we should probably get the next polls going. For the record, here's a ♥♥♥♥ formatted table with the poll results:

Sorry, Got distracted with a bunch of stuff, including finishing up the RO. Ok. Let's get another thing straightened out: How many of you are interested in the Flash header (cuz the Rain mod issue has me confused)?

Personally? I'm not paying much attention to the header, and even if I did, rain would be a little gloomy. Ermm....5/10

I think rain would be a cool feature, but I'm not sure how it would affect traffic.

Personally, I wouldn't mind having the option to switch between city and fields. I loved the old header, and rain on it would be an amazing feature.

Frankly, I wouldn't add rain without adding snow too. If I'm doing it, I'm doing it right.

Night sky too maybe?

Anywho, my option isn't there. I'm in favor of the header, but it likes to eat my resources a lot.

If you're going to add weather at all, then make it season dependant or something, snowing in winter, rainy in spring, sunny in summer, and leaves falling in the fall (because that's weather.)

Eeeeeh. Night sky might be a bit much. If I'm going to do that, I might as well have the thing look up all your vital stats from your IP like time of day, weather, and general geographic location, and customize the thing to your area fully. Also that would require HEAVY coding. Seasons are a bit easier, and I think I can pull that off.

EDIT: I'm thinking about the pseudocode for it right now, in fact, and this is probably be what I will do. as far as I know, the date function in java will pull local time, so it can grab day/night, and precipitation will just be random, and kind of precipitation depends on season.

EDIT2: ...and as for the seasons thing, I could eventually get a check put into your profile for whether you are northern or southern hemisphere for flipping the seasons, but that will probably be an upgrade later...

12, 1, 2 = winter
3, 4, 5 = spring
6, 7, 8 = summer
9, 10, 11 = fall
random number = precipitation yes/no
time = day/night -> 6am-6pm = day

hills in bg -> click = go to hills

Sorry, been busy guys. For one, seeing how the poll was going in general, I've started learning how to edit the main header to actually pull off this request. It's a lot of work, and I'm not promising much anytime soon, but it is now officially in the works.

That being said, here's the next thought up for debate:
