I voted smaller because it was the closest fit to my actual thoughts.

That is, I'd love if the header could be about the size of the current one AND incorporate all the stuff on the right (or maybe just the important stuff, a couple things like the search bar and navigation tree could still definitely move down to the site proper) but definitely not much bigger. Otherwise, smaller (or perhaps even extending the entire thing vertically, to give more lines for the stuff on the right) is the way to go.

As you can probably tell I don't care much about the header at all. The stuff on the right though, I care about that a lot.

All right, I think I'm getting mixed signals here. Let's take a different approach.

What do you want on the animated part of the header?
Part 1 - Existing options.
Part 2 - Right Hand options

Vote Yes or No down the line.

Right Hand options

"News" is a little misleading since it just leads to the main page. I think we'd probably be better off just linking the header where it says "Runouw.com" to the main/news page. Music, while cool, can probably just be linked to through the Games and/or About pages, so I think it can probably go so we can have room for other stuff.

I feel like adding Standalone version of the SM63 LD would be useful, I found myself searching for it many times when designing. Not necesairly on the header, but somewhere (maybe that's not appropriate in this topic then ).

Yeah, that would be nice to have somewhere so I don't have to type in the full address every single time (since I don't use it frequently enough to warrant a bookmark in my eyes). We used to have a similar thing for LL, actually, where in the LL section of the main forum page, there was a link to the game player, but that was removed when the forums for Ch 1 and 2 were added, I think.

Anyway, if you do that for SM63 somewhere (whether LD-only or not), you better have one for LL, too. :B

I agree with you. "Home" fits it more then "news."

Looks like a person did. Though it wouldn't hurt me because I visit the board index page too often, so auto-complete applies for it.

For Music it seems like I'm within the concensus of considering it dispensable. The name "News" should be maintained though as it is News only indeed, maybe the home page could link to "Games" instead.

and the about page hasn't been updated as of now :p
