First four options- no. My monitor will thank you guys not adding a ton of massive buttons to the header. Because there is literally no way to condense the "cookie crumb" thing, or PM notifications (so that they still display whether you have mail without actually going to the inbox).

Chat- absolutely, chat is basically a sub-community of the forums. Once we get the embed stuff fixed, of course.

Wiki- eh. If we ditch some of the current buttons it'd be nice to have.

FAQ- no. This should be covered under the Rules thread somewhere and displayed to members upon registration. Rules on the other hand would definitely be a nice addition.

Please keep in mind that this is only the ANIMATED part of the header. The left half of the current header. NOT the non-animated part to the right.

I'd rather see the FAQ in a finished state before we consider it in the animated header at all.

"News - Portal - Games - Forums - About" are what have been voted for already, which is only one button less than what's currently in the animated header. I feel like the only other major parts of the site significant enough to warrant an animated header spot are the Chat and the Wiki, and like others have said, maaaybe the FAQ but only if it gets a major rework.

Highly emphasizing the fact that this poll is for the animated header because I don't know if you guys actually realize how much of a cluttered mess this is going to be if we just shove every option onto the animated portion.

EDIT: What I'm saying is mostly that I'd like to see the animated header be used for major divisions of the site, not subsections of the forums. It makes more sense to have things like the off-site wiki link and chat and everything up there, since they should be accessible from all areas of the site. Other stuff, like the UCP and PM inbox and egosearch and newposts and cookie crumb trail and all that, are very much forum-specific features, which don't need to be on the site-wide animated header.

Ok, I DO see the possibility of putting everything on the animated header, without it looking like crap (partially by having images instead of text for a number of things, but this is stuff that we can discuss further).

Here's what I see in that case:

Full animated header, with everything except Music, FAQ, and ego search - Country style, 1024px wide x 280px tall

Image

Clearly it's a bit big, but I can cinch it tighter in a number of ways (make the mountains shorter, shrink text sizes, etc.). Or maybe it looks better a bit on the big side. Again, we can discuss.

That's niiiiiiiiiiiice. Maybe change the Runouw.com logo a bit and make it plain (without the border or the bevel effects) and use another font, and the buttons dark?

Also please make the Message icon stand out like a police siren when you recieve a message. This way it'll be more noticeable, specially for the ones who don't even know what is a PM.

What are the other buttons supposed to stand for?

EDIT: lawl, the medal button rather looked like a stylized exclamation mark to me

Rating standards: show
1 star: (0 - 5.75 in LDC) These levels need a lot of work. They're totally un-elaborated, and/or inherently flawed due to things like cutoff or enemy spam, or they're untested and there are too many bugs gameplay-wise, in short: Many many things went wrong in such a level.

2 stars: (6 - 9.75) These levels are not terrible, but poor. They're too short, lack scenery or they have errors and/or bugs but it's still barely enjoyable. Again, spend more effort and try to do better. (if it's your first level that I rate two stars, it's not bad. There's a long way you can still go)

3 stars: (10 - 12.75) These levels are about mediocre. They may be still a little bit short, the gameplay is fine but not very original and graphics are also solid, but not breath-taking. Try to keep improving!

4 stars: (13 - 15) These levels are nice, but not the best. Effort has been put into them, there can some professionality be seen in gameplay and graphics, they're a nice experience to play, but there are still things you can do to make it even better. Try to go the extra mile!

5 stars: (15.25 - 20) These are really great levels, those which, as said, I would give more than 15 in an LDC. These suffice many high requirements, and it already goes into subtleties if you want to make them better. These levels are successful all around. Bravo.

These are just general principles I try to follow when rating. Sometimes I don't leave a further comment when rating, most times I do, if you have questions about it, feel free to ask further.

wow, many no-votes already ... at least Members is important for me, because it gives very quick access to user profiles.

This poll is for the animated header

There will be another text-only portion of the header on the right side where the non-animated buttons will go

We're not going to just completely remove the buttons that get voted "no" from the header

DoramEdit: Thank you for the reminder. Shouting is not necessary, though.
OJEDIT: You're welcome for the reminder Quite frankly I don't care, something seems really wrong with the fact that people want to cram every single possible option into the animated header and not have anything in the text-only section. If we're going solely off of these polls, this is NOT going to turn out well.
