Ah... Mobile Runouw. Lovely idea... Thankfully, one we have already had...
An app wouldn't be a bad idea, but it would be a major undertaking, and possibly one that we wouldn't have to take on ourselves. The forums uses phpBB3 as a codebase, so there might be an add-on or something that will do the trick, perhaps setting up an RSS Feed is possible as well, or as an alternative. There's lots of possibilities, but I agree that making sure the site works properly on mobile is important.
In all honesty, it is something that has been occasionally worked on but mostly on the back burner for a while, since before Suyo left, and we are aware of it. There is the
Forum Mobile Style Sheet for example, and that works for some people. It needs a bit more work, and there are other opportunities, but there's a bunch of other more pressing stuff we are working on right now, especially as we take over all of Suyo's projects. We are also thinking about how we can manage getting more programmers, in order to take on some of the more technical possibilities, but we're not quite ready to take care of that just yet.
