I was trying to change my avatar. When I was done, I click submit. But then a message popped up.

It says: Image file mismatch: Expected extension JPG but was given extension PNG.
What happened?

Exactly what it says. Change your file type to a JPEG or JPG; it doesn't like PNGs for some reason.

This is how I fix it:


`Copy the image on Microsoft Paint.

~Save the image to a JPG file.

~Try uploading the avatar again.

It only accepts certain PNG files.
I actually tried uploading the pic in PhotoShop, but it only accepts JPG Files. Must be the reason.

I guess you tried to save the pic by typing "bla.png" at Save As... in MS Paint? That will save the pic as JPG, but with PNG at the end. You have to choose PNG below.

Yes, MS Paint sucks.
