I've typed this up nicely multiple times in staff chat now and it was generally agreed upon so forgive my halfassed summary for the umpteenth time

Again, there's the rule of waiting 1 year and not having reversal until then for a reason: You shall really think if you really want a name change or what, or if you really need a name change or not. Then again, there's not much sense in distinguishing Type 1 and 2 if you don't have different restrictions for it. Lower the Type 2 durance to 6 months (aka the times are doubled compare to Ven's), so Ven's name change is okay.

In fact (for Type 1) it actually expresses that you really need to think if you want a complete name change which leaves you unrecognizable compared to your previous name. That's why a duration of a year is justified IMO. If you come soon later and ♥♥♥♥♥ "ooh I didn't want this", it's your responsibility and you must wait a year (sounds harsh I know, but honestly, every Type 1 name change is something for everyone else to get used to). A Type 2 name change is less "grave" in the sense that the person is still easily recognizable, hence the duration can be smaller, but it should still be half a year to stay with the new name and it should still be considered if you really want it.
