Name Changes

Name Changes: FAQWhat is a name change?
It changes your username. Duh.

Will my precious postcount be lost?
No, you will keep your postcount.

So what do I have to do to get a name change?
PM a global moderator (someone with a green name - currently or ).

Note: REVERSAL IS NOT ALLOWED ANYMORE. If you have your change, it stays. For types 1 and 2, you MUST give a valid reason for your name change, otherwise you won't get one.
Type 1 Name ChangesType 2 Name ChangesType 3 Name Changes A type 1 name change is only allowed every six months, and you can't get a Type 2 change until after the six months are up. You can only get another Type 1 if you have a good reason for it. If you truly can't recognize a user again by looking at his old and his new username, this is a type 1.

Example: lolguy1337 -> MasterOfDisaster These are occuring if you can still recognize the username. These are allowed every three months.

Example: lolguy1337 -> lolboy1337 These are allowed unlimited times in your forum life. You can change or remove numbers/letters - but don't abuse this right.

Example: lolguy1337 -> lolguy / lolguy666

NAME CHANGE RULES

I've gone from blablob to Blablob....I believe that's a type 3, since there's almost no difference except for caps.

Edit: Also, can I request one thing? Can a user be allowed to switch back to their former name if it's a type 1 change? Say I were to change to MasterOfDisquise, but a week later I realize it just isn't right for me, and I'd rather go back to Blablob. I think that should be allowed, since I can already imagine the many users wanting to do that.

Maybe you can change back 2 weeks after the name change... good idea. Adding this.

So Type 1 means, you can only do it once in your entire life? Does that mean I can't change back to Avolerators again? Or I can't get a name like Calibrix again? "Cause I'm kinda regretting changing my name..... :oops:

BTW, If I change my name to Avospot, what Type would that be?
