I have a question: Why do new users need encouragement all of a sudden? Are they particularly discouraged? I fail to see why we need to do all of this because I don't see a problem.
Worst_master wrote:The mod harsh thing, I am not tell you're harsh, you both are good but if you loosen their actions or otehr thing will encourage them to do better.
Oh really? So if a newbie's a flamer, if we let him flame a little more to let him know that we don't care that much about the rules, he'll stop? I don't think so. We would end up waiting till he's flamed everybody on the site before banning him.
Worst_master wrote:Well, okay, let's reply to yours, okay, let's forget the mods harsh thing/loosen the rules thing because...u know.
Yes, let's.

I was unaware that the forum had gotten particularly quiet. But all right, let's say that they have and that that is a problem for some reason. The truth is, the reason for this is not that new members are "discouraged" and creating something "fun" for the new members won't do anything. The reason why the forums may have quieted down is because it's been over a year since the release of SM63 and so we don't have the same inflow of new members that we once did. When the Last Legacy game is released, we will likely see a spike in new members and everything will be groovy.
Worst_master wrote:We may make more fun things to make them fun on posting more so the topic will not rust and they'll have fun on the topics.
Again, who says they're not having fun as it is? The reason why the forums may have quieted down a bit is not due to lack of fun in topics, as I said before, but the fact that it's been over a year since the release of SM63 and, now that I think about it, GT and the Evil Factory too.

Just because members don't post as much doesn't mean they aren't enjoying the forums. Some users just don't like to post as much. Take Riddah, for example, who has 251 posts. He joined on August 2. He has an average of .66 posts a day. That doesn't mean he doesn't like the forums or doesn't enjoy them, it just means that he doesn't like to post a lot. There's nothing wrong with it and there's nothing that needs to be done to "fix" it, because it isn't a problem.
