I have a question: Why do new users need encouragement all of a sudden? Are they particularly discouraged? I fail to see why we need to do all of this because I don't see a problem.
Worst_master wrote:The mod harsh thing, I am not tell you're harsh, you both are good but if you loosen their actions or otehr thing will encourage them to do better.

Oh really? So if a newbie's a flamer, if we let him flame a little more to let him know that we don't care that much about the rules, he'll stop? I don't think so. We would end up waiting till he's flamed everybody on the site before banning him.
Worst_master wrote:Well, okay, let's reply to yours, okay, let's forget the mods harsh thing/loosen the rules thing because...u know.

Yes, let's.
Worst_master wrote:I thnik we may get more fun to "encourage" the new member and make the forum being very noisy again.

I was unaware that the forum had gotten particularly quiet. But all right, let's say that they have and that that is a problem for some reason. The truth is, the reason for this is not that new members are "discouraged" and creating something "fun" for the new members won't do anything. The reason why the forums may have quieted down is because it's been over a year since the release of SM63 and so we don't have the same inflow of new members that we once did. When the Last Legacy game is released, we will likely see a spike in new members and everything will be groovy.
Worst_master wrote:We may make more fun things to make them fun on posting more so the topic will not rust and they'll have fun on the topics.

Again, who says they're not having fun as it is? The reason why the forums may have quieted down a bit is not due to lack of fun in topics, as I said before, but the fact that it's been over a year since the release of SM63 and, now that I think about it, GT and the Evil Factory too.
Worst_master wrote:ANd hope that they're relaly liek to psot like me, not liek TBG said he is jsut posting and psoting without a direction like my past.

Just because members don't post as much doesn't mean they aren't enjoying the forums. Some users just don't like to post as much. Take Riddah, for example, who has 251 posts. He joined on August 2. He has an average of .66 posts a day. That doesn't mean he doesn't like the forums or doesn't enjoy them, it just means that he doesn't like to post a lot. There's nothing wrong with it and there's nothing that needs to be done to "fix" it, because it isn't a problem.

Not really, but I see TBG leave, I want to encourse the new user, I'll not enourse the old user since Suyo've made many fun thing for them. Or it is a sorry for FoA.

Everything gets boring after a while, Wm. We can't avoid it. Of course, when you try something new, you have that excitement to meet all those new persons. After you meet them all and have done most of the stuff, it gets...Boring.

Well....Okay...

You don't know how grave this situation would be, don't you? It could possibly make an 8-years older learn to cuss, and then his mom notices he cusses. The mother, if she learns he learned it from internet...Probably the guy will not have internet anymore!...I just made that up.

Actually, it kinda seems you are.

So, if you're too lazy, here's everything summed up:

We can't back down do anything about it. Everything gets bored after a while, even though Last Legacy will be awesome. Trying to "Encourage the users, get more fun stuff and give medals easily" is kinda childish (Well, at least the "Get more fun stuff" part) and will not work, advertising possibly, well...You know.

WM, dare to create a contradiction, and I'll create a rant.

So we need to change, we need to change! If we don't change, our life will back to like the rock ages. After ten years if this forum is also like this, (hopefully this forum will in here)people will don't like the forum because it is OUTDATE.

You're using an example to tell you want to sya what, right? But, people can change and say sorry, I'm sure after ten years he is using the computer right now.
Usuario THf wrote:Last Legacy will get us a wave of new people. We just have to wait...

Yes we can get a wave of people, but 100 people, 90 people is play SM63, 30 of 90 is level spammer. We need to attract peopel from SM63..... If you don't, I thnik before we'll've the people, I thnik we're already dead. And This site is already close, how long we may wait? Wait, why don't do?
Usuario THf wrote:Actually, it kinda seems you are.

Okay.....everyone don't apply, well, I think we've a thing need to cahnge:
A little people group must listen to the lot people group even they're doing wrongly.
Usuario THf wrote:"Encourage the users, get more fun stuff and give medals easily"

Yes it is childish, the users is childish too, but, why don't try? You haven't try why you can say you're wrong? Everything is...possible!

Please reply to all the thing, I hate some suer only reply to the wrong thing and make me looks like all the thing from me is wrong.

Okay, now the things, try by you, I stop now, I'm enough.

Worst_master, your logic is completely unreasonable now.
So we need to change, we need to change! If we don't change, our life will back to like the rock ages. After ten years if this forum is also like this, (hopefully this forum will in here)people will don't like the forum because it is OUTDATE.

10 years? REALLY? You're worrying how this forum will be like in 10 years? That's pretty sad.
You're using an example to tell you want to sya what, right? But, people can change and say sorry, I'm sure after ten years he is using the computer right now.

Again, 10 years? You think an 8-year old is going to give a first glance at this website 10 years after being inactive on it?
Yes we can get a wave of people, but 100 people, 90 people is play SM63, 30 of 90 is level spammer. We need to attract peopel from SM63..... If you don't, I thnik before we'll've the people, I thnik we're already dead. And This site is already close, how long we may wait? Wait, why don't do?

The point is SM63 was the key point to a ton of new users. Have you realized that with the new Last Legacy trailer a lot of new people are already joining? So what if some are LD spammers, we had that with SM63 as well.
Okay.....everyone don't apply, well, I think we've a thing need to cahnge:
A little people group must listen to the lot people group even they're doing wrongly.

I think they do that already, it's not mandatory though. Although it should be more about listening to the mods rather than listening to "the lot people group".
I stop now, I'm enough.

That would be a great idea.

Don't be sorry W_m…you're entitled to make your suggestions. Here's the thing though: I don't see too many people complaining that the forum isn't fun. For newbies and whatnot, the forum is what you make of it. Many newbies don't make friends on the chat or post a lot and so they miss out on a lot. Again, we can get more forum users by telling our friends about the forums (I suppose) but again, really we just have to wait for Last Legacy…the third thing really there's no way to prevent, although somewhere along the way I heard some suggestion to have a level approval system for users posting their first level or two like the mods have a post approval system?

Postby Doram » August 25th, 2010, 7:17 pm

Hey!That's the best suggestion I've heard in a while. Make some kind of test necessary before allowing to post in the portal!!! This WILL reduce the spammers. Plus, it will make those that do post better, for having forced to go through the tutorial/test. Runouw can be lenient, and let them make levels for their own use without the test, but require it for submitting to the shared database, if he feels it necessary, but other than that, I say...

:awe: AWESOME IDEA :awe:

Thankyou for your post, Doram, but acatally I see in this time, runouw.com is like....just blaming....I see some guys usually flaming MoD and trying to hit him all, I know he, something, I don't know, maybe he've do wrong, but he said everyone is not can be perfect, but.....Acatally this forum, I think we can jsut do to good is enough now...looks, the noobs make our mod angry and the mod angry and ban, and some guys said they are harsh sometime or they'll do the against, then mod more angry and ban and against and ban.....

So we'll get so many member get banned, to just ban them, why don't think about some things to improve us? Why don't......
