Dual Destinies was the first game I played, but I've been watching an LP of the first game and it caught my interest. I've finished DD and I have just one thing to say about it: most of the voices are bad, particularly Phoenix and Edgeworth's. They should've just kept the voices from Ace Attorney, they're so much better. Let's hope Layton vs. Wright has better voices...
Anyway, here's what I think of the cases:
1 - Alright for starting but one thing bugs me: who would think to erase two lines to figure out the writing?
2 - Eh, it's okay. It has a few interesting moments, but overall I think it's just kinda stupid, like Case 3 of Ace Attorney.
3 - Best case in the game. It can be a bit complex at times, but the friendship trio is really touching, plus Prosecutor Gavin is pretty cool.
4 - This case ends really abruptly, they should've tried harder to make a smoother transition. I know this case and case 5 are intricately linked and the only reason they split it was so one case wouldn't be really long, but come on. The ending feels really forced. The case itself is just meh too.
5 - This case is really in-depth and interesting and keeps you on the edge of your seat. When you found out who the culprit is... wow. And the way this case, case 4, and case 1 are all linked is pretty neat too. Overall the case is kinda weird and confusing, though.
6 - To sum up this case in one word, it's nuts. Not the good kind of nuts either, it's the meh kind of nuts. I guess it's kinda interesting to have a non-human defendant, but I think they tried too hard to have it make sense. It's better than case 2 and 4, but I wouldn't recommend buying it unless you're just THAT curious about it.
tl;dr: My order so far is 3, 5, 1, 6, 2, 4.
Going to get Layton vs. Wright soon and play that, but I'm likely going to wait until I get Smash Bros and play the heck out of that.
