If you have the original game & download an emulator with the game you have, it's not illegal. But, if you wanna play games on a emulator without a keyboard, use Virtual Console with the Classic Controller. You won't get arrested using Virtual Console.

Suyo has already established that, and you are buying the game on VC so it wouldn't be illegal.

What if you have the game, then lost it, then bought another one, then lost that, then found the first one, then the only system that could play that game broke, then you lost the original, then you downloaded the rom and the game???

That should be legal since you have the game and you haven't sold it. You technically still have the game and console so it should be legal.

correct also with the issue emulators are not a high priorety to arrest people no the goverment focuses more on drugs and such then these samll little things i mean this is even bellow the importance of the goverment since this is not reeally a huge crime that hurts anyone and highly doubt it would ever be a great importance.

Yes, since it's the original game. To be exact, you downloaded the ROM on your Wii from the shop. On the Wii is a SNES emulator.
