I really think any of these consoles can be anyone's favorite, it just really depends on what games they are looking for. Now, me, I don't own any seventh generation consoles, so I guess I could say I'm on the neutral side. Some of the biggest selling games are shared on all three consoles, or at least two, (Fallout 3, Resident Evil, Soul Caliber,) so if people just want to play those kind of games, it depends on what kind of control they want. The XBox controller, (the original one,) was designed in an odd fashion solely for FPS games. Now, the PS3 controller and Xbox 360 Controller are pretty similar, with only few differences. Anyways, now for the Daily Break-Down.

(Idk why I said Daily, I just want to feel official.)
Daily Break-DownXbox 360Overview:Microsoft's Xbox 360 model came in white or black, in Arcade and Elite, with either a 20, 60, 120, or 250 GB hard drive. The Xbox 360 has a feature that its predecessor had, which is Xbox Live, which you paid yearly to play online, which many games featured and were known for. The Xbox 360 can play most of the Xbox games, play DVDs, and connect to the internet. The game launched in over 30 countries, and has sold over 30 million.
Popular games include: Left 4 Dead, Halo 3, (I don't like it but others do,) Crackdown, Dead Rising, Fable II, Gears of War 2, Saints Row, and Too Human. (I am only listing Xbox 360 Exclusive Games. [Excluding Computer])
The ReviewThe Xbox 360 is known for many FPS games, but I like it because the online gameplay is very connected, games like Left 4 Dead rely on sticking with your teammates, and as long as your internet connection is good, the gaming can be great. The graphics are pretty decent, I would not say they are the best, in some games the graphics become a bit too messy, but that's just me right? Now, Xbox Live cost money, but nothing too drastic, so I do not think that is anything big. The price of the Xbox 360 has dropped to 200$ recently, which is quite decent. Games on the Xbox are nicely put together, and very addictive. The Xbox dashboard is very simple and easy to use, although I think consoles really have no need to pack in any extra things such as the random downloadable trailers and content.
Playstation 3OverviewSony's Playstation 3 comes in 20, 40, 60, 80, 120, 160, or 250 GB. The controller is very simple: dual analog sticks, four trigger buttons and also a tilting feature. The PS3 can also play CDs, DVDs, and Blu-ray discs. The Playstation 3 was released far after the other two, and has sold 27 million copies. The PS3 comes in the regular and slim model. The PS3 can also connect with the PSP, which has some random good stuff that I'm too lazy to look up. x.x
Popular Games Include: God of War III, inFamous, LittleBigPlanet, Metal Gear Solid 4, Ninja Gaiden, Resistance, and Uncharted 2.
The ReviewNow, I have heard much different opinions about the Playstation 3. I have played it only a few times, but what I have played has been actually... Pretty decent. The big problem Sony is having right now is that they are a year behind Nintendo and Microsoft, so they have a pretty big gap to cover. The main reason I would probably buy this is the Blu-Ray feature, but this would probably not be enough to sway me. Many people say the PS3 has minimal good games, but far more disagree, saying that PS3 had much better games then either consoles. A few good things is the Playstation Network, which has a decent variety. The graphics are also one of the best, since the PS3 550 MHz, its pretty decent. I think this is really a console that I will have to wait a couple more years before I decide if its any good or not, it has alot of potential, but at the present, I do not believe it is worth it.
WiiOverviewThe Wii is different from the PS3 or Xbox 360. Instead of sticking with the traditional controller, the wiimote uses motion sensing and pointing for most of the work. With more then 56 million sold worldwide, it is more or less people's favorite. The Wii only comes in one model, and has a 512 MB memory. The Wii is also very slim and easily portable.
Popular Games Include: Animal Crossing, Big Brain Academy, Excite Truck, Wii Sports, Fire Emblem, Legend of Zelda, Mario Kart, Mario and Sonic, Mario Party, Metroid Prime, MySims, Pokemon Battle Revolution, Super Mario Galaxy, and Super Smash Bros Brawl.
The ReviewOkay, before I get started, I want to push out the reasoning of, "Wii has more popular games, so Wii wins." The reason there are so many Wii games is because half of the games on the list are Mario related. The Wii has so many games because all the game creators want to take a swing at making a game for the Wii. I mean, I will give it props for being creative, it is very good on that. A few things I do have problems with are 1. The Internet: The Internet is pretty decent, I mean they added the Wii shop thing which gave you lots more games, but if you actually want to play Wii games online, there aren't that many made for online play, and connection is slightly laggy. 2. The Wiimote: Now this is only directed to games where you actually use the Wiimote to point and click. Sorry that my arm isn't made robotically and I can't hold the controller without shaking a bit.
