Guitar Hero World Tour and Rock Band 2

Postby Ridder » November 12th, 2009, 3:49 pm

Rock Band 2- Made by Harmonix and some other people.

Guitar Hero- Now made by FREAKIN' ACTIVISION. yes, ACTIVISION.

So, I just read this comparison of Rock Band 2 and Guitar Hero World Tour.
Guess which one won?
World Tour.
Why?
The reviewer said that the World Tour Controllers were better, and that's it.
no seriously, for the fact that the Rock Band Drums weren't very realistic (The reviewer even admitted the WT drums suck until you do all this work to fix them)
and the none of his friends ever fought over the Rock Band Guitar.
So he reviewed 7 categories, Rock Band 2 won five of them, and World tour won two.
Yes that's right.

There is a clear cut difference between the two games- The makers.
Activision is filled with the not so smart people.
Harmonix- Well, I'm not so sure on that, but they sure do seem to be better at this than Activision.

discuss anything related to GH or RB anyways.

Wait a minute..this doesn't make any sense. Let me be specific.

Okay, so it's clear you liked World Tour better, but this is the only thing you added to make WT sound better.

But what about all this?

So...what your saying is.....When the 2 games were reviewed, RB2 got better reviews, and the team is better, but GH just has a "better" controller, so automatically it's better?

Explain. Please. Because either I'm confused, or you are.

hm.....
well, actually, I don't like WT.

You see, I like Rock Band 2, and I happened to come across THIS.
This person compares WT and Rock Band 2, and says WT is better because the controllers are better (But it doesn't make sense)
I disagree completely and like Rock Band 2, Guitar Hero is full of Cartoons and loading screens made of Cartoons.
all the things in Guitar Hero look like it was drawn by a kid who just discovered what rock is.

I don't like either one of the games because you gotta buy a ton of equipment just to play the game.

I would prefer Guitar Hero because you only need one instrument.

Although, the drums from Rock Band are cool but it's a game I would only play if I'm at a friends house...kinda strange but yeah...

Activision's really not that bad. I've come across a few great games by those guys, and would definately never call the Activision crew "not so smart". :?

Is it possible to play these games with just the controller?

You can probably play Guitar Hero 3 with the Wii Remote, just the wii remote.

I don't know how it works but I prefer the guitar.

You can play Rock Band 2 with just the Xbox 360 controller, it gets you through, though I heard it was no fun at all.

Yeah, same with GHWT. You can play via the controllers for all of the consoles, but it really diminishes the feel and overall fun.
