On my singleplayer, I like fleshing out my world before making a huge advance, tier-wise. My worlds are always large for a reason. :)

In other news, I haven't found any equipable items that are useful yet. >_>

IMHO, Terraria needs a few things.

Main thing is teleporters. I even have an idea of how they would work:
Right-clicking them would bring up a 5x4 block grid, like a vendor NPC's inventory. Mouse over a particular telepad, and it will show the name of the telepad (telepads are by default named according to the biome they are placed in). Left-click it to teleport to that telepad. If no telepads have been placed, the 5x4 grid will be empty.

You can only go from the teleporter to the telepad, not the other way around. This limits abuse of the teleporter. Also, telepads must be placed at least 250 tiles apart, which further limits teleport abuse. The final thing that limits abuse is you can only have 20 telepads in one world, hence the 5x4 selection grid.

Right-click a telepad, and a dialogue box will pop up, displaying the Telepad name and two options: Name and Close. Name lets you name the Telepad, making it easier to tell where the telepad is located. Close is self-explanatory.

What do you guys think? Good/bad idea?

Rather than being named automatically by the biome, maybe name it yourself, assuming these are placeable and removable, since someone may want to put telepads in multiple underground mushroom biomes, floating islands, which I'm pretty sure aren't official biomes. Make it so when holding a telepad to place, a hue of color outlines the radius of other ones; you're not allowed to place telepads less than, say, 250 blocks from each other.

You can probably post this in terrariaonline.

Yeah, good idea. I forgot to add in an explanation of the telepads themselves; I'll do that now.

I don't quite get the hue of color part, but I edited in the 250 blocks thing.

Probably, but I'm afraid someone may have posted it already.

Something else I think Terraria needs is some kind of hardmode item that gives you more accessory or ammo slots. What do you guys think?

By hues of color I just mean an outline of the radius of a telepad.Like, once you enter the zone where ytou cannot place another telepad(250blocks within another telepad) That part of the world will show a different color lighting or something. Just so you have a visual as to where you can and can't place a telepad.

An item that gives you more slots does sound nice, though it removes some of the RPG element of the game and replaces it with a zelda-like feel. The ammo expansion I can live with, but more accessory slots?... I'm afraid that that will make the game a bit too much easier, endgame.

Maybe 2 or 3, and they can't stack(meaning you can't gain infinite accessory slots.)

Like, for example, the outline of the telepad will be red if you can't place it, and blue if you can?

I was also thinking of something that's similar to the Chet Rippo/Rip Cheeto situations in Paper Mario. You could gain an extra accessory slot, but you'd have to give up a slot in exchange, say one inventory slot, one ammo slot, etc.

It wouldn't really be needed to have extra ammo slots anyway; the guns can take bullets from your inventory. The stuff in the Ammo slots just get first priority.

I know that, but more ammo slots would allow for more ammo without taking up inventory space. For example, you can hold a maximum of 1000 bullets/arrows/seeds, using the ammo slots. To hold more than 1000, you have to put them in your inventory, and that can be annoying, depending on what you're doing. If you're fighting a boss, it's probably not that bad. You probably NEED more than 1000 shots for the hardmode bosses (especially Skeletron Prime; for it I recommend about 2000 bullets. For the Twins, between 1500-2000, depending on what tactic you're using and if your aim is good), so more ammo slots would free up inventory space. Plus, if you have a blowpipe, you're probably going to be collecting a crapload of seeds, and they're probably going to start clogging up your inventory.

EDIT: I just found a tactic for killing the Eater of Worlds that pretty much owns it.
1. Fight a Goblin Army and get a Harpoon
2. Get a stack of about 100 blocks (doesn't matter what kind; any will do)
3. With your stack of blocks, build a skybridge a few tiles above the Corruption
4. Make Worm Food
5. Get on one end of your new "arena"
6. Summon the EoW
7. Ready your Harpoon and run towards the other end of the bridge
8. When EoW comes out of ground, and comes right across your arena, turn towards him and hold down the left mouse button
9. ???
10. PROFIT!

Gah, the game makes me so mad at times. Here I am, mining a Meteor that smashed into the Dungeon on the side of the world, with my spawn set at the ocean, and then BAM "A Goblin Army is approaching from the West!" So I naturally Magic-Mirrored, only to find that set me further back. By the time I got halfway through the Corruption, it said 'The Goblin Army has arrived!' How fast do these things move? So I got to my town, and it was over-run with Goblins. My door was smashed down as well, so I couldn't set the spawn point there. So, I naturally fought, and died four times, each time having to go all the way back to the town from the edge of the map.

Mental note: create mob trap outside town.

EDIT1: WHY WON'T ANY SHADOW ORBS DROP VILETHORNS D:
While on the subject, how do you pronounce Vilethorn? Do you say 'vile thorn', or 'vilet horn' where vilet rhymes with fillet?

EDIT2: This is seriously getting annoying now. I've smashed, heck, twelve Orbs and all I'm getting are Bands, Orbs of Light and Muskets. >_>

EDIT3: \o/ Finally got one, and it's Mythical too!

I would think it's pronounced "vile thorn", because the tooltip says 'Summons a vile thorn'.
