Toss up between SMB3 and FF VII. If I had to pick, I'd say FF VII just because of Sephiroth.

I know you could debate whether Sephiroth is really that good of a villain from a character development point of view (i.e., this: GameStop claims Sephiroth is bland compared to FF VI's Kefka Palazzo), but I find his design and the fact that he maintains a purpose despite his near omnipotence (even if that is rather cliche) to make up for all that.

Oooh Final Fantasy 7... I still need to beat that game... Last disc.. Great game, great characters. Did you play Crisis Core for the PSP yet? It tells the story of Zack, before the events of FF7.

I have. It is technically part of the Compilation of Final Fantasy VII series, all of which I have played, with the exception of the non-console games.

Dirge of Cerberus really was more of an experiment then a competitive game - as per Yoshinori Kitase's own statements.

That being said, it is a solid game despite suffering from the bugs you'd expect from a developer who has never done an FPS before and various in-game issues that were incurred by adding some RPG elements after the game was already in development.

Overall, I'd say your perception of the game depends on how much you'd be acquiring it for the series or for the genre. The storyline is adequate enough and if you enjoy just playing in the FF VII timeline you should find the game enjoyable.

That being said, it can't compete with other FPS from the same era and if you're not a solid fan, some of the bugs and quirks with annoy you quickly.

A FF7 RPG FPS? Sounds fun! I may pick it up after I finish other games.

A couple days ago, I finally reclaimed Meteos for the Nintendo DS. It has been at least 6 whopping years since I last played it... and those memories are coming back. :')

Suikoden 2. Cannot sing it's praises. An RPG with great cast of characters, so that you can play the game differently each time, slick and quick battles, with the runes system acting as magic which is cleverly implemented into the battles and the story, the spritework is fantastic, reminding of those old SNES days, lovable heroes, 3 battle systems (and essencially 2 game modes), fantastic music that tells you what to feel. It will always set the mood. Just listen to "Rescue", "The Chase", "Adventurous Journey", "Those who work must eat" or "Suspicion". They don't use the typical instruments, soundtracks sound unique and great. Variety of minigames and things to do if you are bored or want to do something else on your adventure. The story... this is something I cannot describe... love, have, betrayal, tragedy, success... I don't own the game, but just seeing the first few hours got me pumped. And the characters, oh the characters. They are all perfectly crafte, from shy warrior Flik, through confused and worried Jowy to one of possibly most evil villains in all gaming... Luca Blight... he made me question if Sephiroth was as evil, and the truth was; Luca was much more heartless and brutal... Like a true villain should be...

If I ever pick this up, I will be happy about my PS1 lirary forever. I might've fallen in love with this game. It's a shame that this game is so rare, and the few copies that do exist are so expensive (like Earthbound). I would even compare it to Kingdom Hearts (and I freaking love KH). I wish that someday I find this game for a reasonable price...

Wow that was a lot about a game I don't own >.>

Also, Mario Party get rek'd, Crash Bash all the way!
