I go through weird phases when playing minecraft. I pick it up, think I'll do so many great stuff, many maps that I'll make or play, build, craft etc. But then I stop. I start thinking that it's a waste of my time, there's much better games out there that I should be playing/I just lose all my motivation towards making a map/get bored. And then I repeat the cycle again.

Borderlands 2 I've played at my cousin's and I've rather enjoyed it. Like you Harm I'm not into FPS' that much, with a few exceptions, but the RPG mix, with open world gameplay + all the wacky unusual stuff for an FPS game got me hooked. I'm debating whether I should buy it, since I could play co-op and all...

If you can, it's a must have. Especially towards the end. But you probably knew that already.

I've completed the Rayman Legends demo on PC. It was fantastic, I must buy this game someday, though I do need to play Origins first.

My choices are separated between phases of my life. There was a time Call of Duty was my most beloved game (I'm talking about the original, WWII-related game) and I may even comment times where Grand Theft Auto or Need for Speed were, as well. But currently, I must say it's DBZ Budokai Tenkaichi II. When I gained originally my PS2, this game came alongside it, but it continuously crashed. My lack of ability to enjoy it at the most if may offer made my satisfaction with my current, full version of the game have its power boosted infinitely. Not only that, but the nostalgic remembrances of you, a little child, kicking an evil Frieza's buttocks and backflipping in glee after each time your character leveled up.

To Saint Peter he will tell;
One more Marine reporting, sir.
I've served my time in Hell!"

All I've ever played of CoD is BO1/2 and MW3 (mayube a little of 2, not sure), mostly multiplayer with my friend. The zombie mode was enjoyable, some strategy comes to play. However I couldn't stand playing online multiplayer against other people, especially on a console. PC is just infinitely times better for shooters. Not that I'm a big shooter guy anyway.

On a side note, I've played some more Skyrim again. Like with MC I have these phases where I play Skyrim for a few days straight, and then I don't play it wor a long time. I like the game, it's just... maybe I'm not used to open-ended games, I usually play more streamlined RPGs (FF4 style, NOT FF13 style). I think the biggest open-ended game I've ever beaten was Gothic 1 and 2, and with Gothic 1 I got kind of bored from walking around, so I've used a teleport cheat, wher I'd just tp a few metres in front of me. Speaking of which Gothic is a great game, hasn't aged very well (both in terms of graphics and combat), but I guess that's as much of an experience to TES I've had before Skyrim (not that it's TES).
