Just finished Emi and Hanako's route. They both feel like... almost exactly the same... Sure both the girls are totally different, but they both seem to end in kinda the same way. Kinda makes me feel the other four routes will be the same process. Still worth making the effort for 100% though.

They all felt extremely different to me. Did you get all the scenes in both their routes? Emi has two good ending paths.

Wait two good ends? I only got one good and one bad end and stopped there because the library list for her was full. Unless your talking about the way Hisao convinces her to take to the graveyard. I got both of those (one at the track one at the roof)

Regardless I still made a connections between the two in how they react to help.*
the rest is full of spoilers so I'm just gonna put it here because I'm lazy: show
If you don't follow Lilly's advice and leave Hanako to herself when she locks herself in her room, you impose to much trying to get her to go outside. It's all for the right reasons but she believes you only see her as a child who needs protection and gets to the point of yelling at you. Likewise with Emi if you follow after her when she runs off during the first scene at her house you get a similar reaction for a similar reason and she starts yelling at you asking you to leave. They are vastly different yes, but I believe there core problems aren't all that different.

Which reminds me. Acting on these two routes alone I think the developers might be trying to convey that disabled people don't really need that much help.

not really a spoiler but one could easily deduce the right path from this.

Just in case people start raging.: show
I disagree, I believe that the idea was to put up this barrier as a use in order to understand the real need for mutual relationship between the people. While they act independent, that doesn't make them different from any other human in the fact that they still need people to support them. I think while the core ideas of both Hanako and Emi were similar, I found that it was a very different experience. With Emi, I found more frustration with how she acted, while with Hanako, I only had a want to help. Emi's route was overall strong, but I think that Hanako had a much more powerful confession.
