I complained about Darksiders being a ripoff of every other game I could think off, because they were literally stealing weapons and gadgets and much of their gameplay off other games. It was atrocious and I couldn't believe people actually WANT the sequel.
Now, this, on the other hand, is perfectly fine.
And for those of you making it out to be a Smash Bros Ripoff with Sony's name on it, I am incredibly ashamed to know most of you.
I mean, I was pretty big on Smash Bros, but for the past three years, Ive been gaming pretty hard, so Ive actually played 80% of the games that this roster sprouts from, and seeing them in a fighting game, with all the moves they can do, actually looks fun. Maybe the gameplay plays out in similar aspects, but the overall method of winning, as flawed as I believe it to be, actually allows for some diversity.
I mean, a majority of the ranged and non-melée moves in SSB were something akin to throwing a rock at a tank, which meant most of the time that the majority of SSB was punching and kicking and slashing, and more often than not, it boiled down to a punchfest with dodging and blocking. I took one good at PS AllStars gamePlay, and hardly any of it looks remotely like Smash Bros.
Geezus guys, I knew you were fans of SSB and Nintendo and all, but the incredibly cold and immature "I WILL NEVER BUY SONY AGAIN." just pisses me off.
THE CREED: Nothing is True. Everything is Permitted.
"...That's rather cynical."
"It would be if it were doctrine, but it is merely an observation of the nature of reality.
To say that Nothing is True is to realize that the foundations of society are fragile, and that we must be the shephards of our own civilization.
To say that Everything is Permitted is to understand that we are the architects of our actions, and that we must live with the consequences, whether glorious...or tragic."
