RUNOUW.COM ULTIDUO TF2 TOURNAMENT
Posted: August 9th, 2012, 10:33 amYou all want a Runouw TF2 6vs6 Match, but we all know that won't work. Not enough players, low skill, different time zones, and my server implodes with anything 9+ players. So I suggest to you:

Four players, two teams, one map. The ultimate showdown. Medic and Soldier versus Medic and Soldier.
What? But I suck at Medic and Soldier! I want to play Pyro and just W+M1 and hope I kill something!
DEAL WITH IT. Take the oppotunity and become a better player. Also if I ever see you W+M1ing I will slap you.
Alright alright. So, how does it work?
Let me introduce you to our wonderful map!
This map is a pretty cool guy. His name is koth_ultidio_b8, but we'll just call him Ultiduo. Ultiduo is KOTH map, but is a little different. The point unlocks almost instantly, you have to hold it for 5 instead of 3 minutes, and you can't go back into spawn once you leave. That means the game is more focused on positioning, weapon choices and protecting your Medic.
Seems interesting. Any rules, how do teams find together?
- Sign up as teams of two. You don't need to specify who does Medic and Soldier, as you can change positions before and during matches.
- Only exception: Independent research found that Buff and me are overpowered and can never be nerfed, so if you want to be in a team with one of us, you have to do Soldier and we do Medic.
- The format will be decided depending on the number of teams. I'm thinking about a Round Robin deciding the pairs in a Playoff at the end.
- Only stock loadouts allowed (Medic: Needle Gun, Medigun, Bonesaw; Soldier: Rocket Lawnchair, Shotgun, Shovel)
- If you use exploits, glitches or loopholes I'm going to punch you until you drop out of the Tournament.
So... when? Where? How?
The two teams and me discuss a time which is good for everybody. Every match is going to take place on my server, and I'll record it so generations to come will be able to see what their grandfathers did. It's going to be Best of 3, except for the semifinals and finals, which are Best of 5.
I'll give you a few days or a week to sign up. If you have a team, post them here - if you want to participate but can't find a team, post here as a single participant and I'll try to randomly match you up. SIGNUPS OVER
Also, the server will randomly go up before the tournament so people can get some practice. Pairs will be randomly chosen while I watch and give advice when I feel like it.
