CoD games are unused potential, if Activision would put a bit more effort in making the campaign, gamplay and focus on more fighting yourself and not watching the bots do it for you it would be a success. I played MW3, the plot was pretty strange, but however 'enjoyed' the campaign. It bothered me that they focused more on graphics than on gameplay and I remember that I WON the last mission by simply pressing 'F' a few times. I mean there was a message on the screen that told me to press f and I saw an 'animation' (animation because I cannot name that a part of the gameplay) of the player killing the enemy.
Weapons are also wtf because most of them are the same, but with different texture or a few slight modifications, no melee but you kill a sleeping guard by pressing 'F' and it's the only time you use the knife. Also (in mw3) they spawned a ♥♥♥♥ of enemies, I didn't killed any single one of this because the 'hint' told me to let air support do it for me.
Crosshairs bother me from all points of view, they are too big and the aiming is pretty bad.
Tl;dr if CoD games were 'better made' mostly at the gamplay they could some of best games, they are really bad because the campaign and the gamplay itself is bad.
