Set in 1912, players assume the role of former Pinkerton agent Booker DeWitt, sent to the flying city of Columbia on a rescue mission. His target? Elizabeth, imprisoned since childhood. During their daring escape, Booker and Elizabeth form a powerful bond -- one that lets Booker augment his own abilities with her world-altering control over the environment. Together, they fight from high-speed Sky-Lines, in the streets and houses of Columbia, on giant zeppelins, and in the clouds, all while learning to harness an expanding arsenal of weapons and abilities, and immersing players in a story that is not only steeped in profound thrills and surprises, but also invests its characters with what Game Informer called "An amazing experience from beginning to end."
I don't have this game, but it's right up my alley. Seriously. It looks amazing. I love how steampunky it is, and if anyone knows from the minecraft server, I am addicted to steampunk.
The story is also great and the gameplay too. The graphics is probably my favourite part so far though.

Bioshock Infinite is literally sitting on my shelf without being played because I'm so behind on games (didn't buy, borrowed, I'm too poor). I still haven't finished Dead Space 3 after over a month.
I really want to play them though, maybe once vacations are here I'll have more free time than the one I spend wasting away at my computer until I realize I really should go to sleep.

Having played all Bioshocks, I can safely tell you guys that they're all pretty solid.
Except 2. Go ahead and skip it. One and Infinite are fantastic. Infinite isn't really Steampunk either, It's more "QUANTUM-PHYSIAWESOMEPUNK" and Dishonored is more "Whalepunk whateverpunkthatinvolvesrobotsuitsandelectricity"
I've been playing a lot of PS3 games since I've been gone.

About a third of the way through the game. I haven't really gotten to the juicy plot parts I've been hearing about, and the gameplay is pretty much Bioshock, what with the plasmids (call them vigors all you want they're plasmids) and the antiquated weapons but...well that's just it. It feels tacked on. Infinite is clearly a very different game going in a very different direction, and the plasmids this time around feel very shoehorned in. I find myself using them about once every two fights or so, with them being less practical than the ones in the previous games (crows? Seriously?), and really, what do they have to do with the plot rather than them just being there?
It's still a pretty amazing game, and again, I haven't really gotten to the plot twists and ♥♥♥♥ everyone's been talking about, but it's got a lot to live up to if it wants to beat Spec Ops' utter beast of a plot. Maybe that's my problem, Spec Ops just blew my mind, and playing Infinite immediately afterwards detracts from the experience. Maybe these complaints are more nitpicking than anything else. Just wanted to say that anyway.

Its fine, a lot of folks complained about the vigors and how they're just sorta there.(You really do need to abuse them in any difficulty above normal though)
Also, the transition between Captain Martin Walker and a more "Nathan Drake-y" sort of character can be pretty difficult. Well, except for Nolan North.

According to the spoilers i've read on reddit there's a huge plot twist at the end, no idea what it is though, thank god.

"However, these ideals would not hold up, turning into a dystopia; and on the eve of 1959, a civil war broke out, leaving much of Rapture's population dead."; In the beginning of the trailer the calendar states that its 31. December 1958. You play on the day Rapture went down. ♥♥♥♥. Yes.
