http://www.ea.com/news/maxis-unveils-the-sims-4Big fan of the series ever since The Sims 2 was released, and this game looks extremely promising.
I've already preorded it and hopefully I'll get that sweet juicy CAS demo.

I swear that if it gets the always online feature like in simcity 3, EA are shooting a nuke in their own feet.
Other than that, I only played the first one and never touched the other games. So im not interrested

I was never a 'fan' of the Sims, but sometimes I'd think: "Is this that 'game' I am looking for that I'll be forever addicted to?"
When I realized it was made by EA, I quit considering it. I never really had a 'liking' for EA's games; they make me yawn [for a reason I should keep secretive].

I'll just come out and say that just because EA (EA didn't even technically make it, maxis did) made it, doesn't mean it's bad. That's a horrible reason not to play it.
Maxis is and always will be a great company. EA is the one who decides to make things have the DRA stuff. The Sims is different from SimCity or other EA games.

I did not mean to say that, actually. The thing that leaves me in disinterest of their games is something like their style... I guess.
Something I should have had definitely pointed out is that I haven't played the Sims games physically yet, AND I have my hopes and doubts, but I do not know what to expect when physically playing it, though I don't want to make waste (pun intended.).
(Score 'undefined, but high' for Jacob misspeaking...)

The thing I find myself doing whenever I get a Sims game is DLing gigabytes of custom content and hardly ever touching the game. For the most part it's because I'm used to playing the console versions so a mouse feels awkward. Though I have some ideas for some entertaining households I might try in TS3.
Also this announcement was bittersweet because I literally bought TS3 the week before.

Bump, a lot has happened in a year.
First of all wtf was I saying, I love the new graphics and I caved in and preordered it yesterday. Despite the game having a couple of major losses from it's previous iteration (pools, babies being holdable, toddlers, cars, loss of open world, and more :/) I still know I'll like it. The game's being released in a month, and the creator camp embargo ended yesterday so there's a crap ton of news coming out for the game, Ruthless KK gave a good review of what she played.
