TF2 Weapon Ideas
It's not like Valve is going to see these and accept them, but I thought I'd share some ideas I had for TF2 weapons and you guys could discuss and provide your own ideas.
The Whizzer
Class: Pyro
Slot: Primary
Honestly, this idea is ridiculous (like the name), but I thought I'd share it anyway. Basically it's a Pyro primary that pisses on people. It causes no damage directly; instead it slows the target down, marks them for death, and adds weapon switch speed. Think of it as the reverse of the Phlog; whereas it outright encourages W+M1'ing, this weapon takes away that ability, forcing you to use your weapons in combination. It can also be used to support your team; run in, piss on the enemy, and let your team mini-crit them to death. You may ask, what's the point of mini-crits if you can just Axtinguish them? While that is a good point, remember that I said "support". That's not saying you couldn't Axtinguish them, though.
tl;dr:
+On Hit: Slows down enemies (maybe 20% or so decrease in speed)
+On Hit: Marks enemies for death
+50% weapon switch speed
-100% damage penalty
The Corkscrew
Class: Engineer
Slot: Melee
Tired of the usually wrenches? How about a drill instead? This handy drill strikes twice as fast as the other wrenches, plus it builds your buildings faster to boot! How cool is that?!
+50% attack speed
+50% construction rate
-25% damage penalty
-No random crits
I'll bet you anything the stats for both are way unbalanced.
