If Nintendo had revealed all that with a conference, I would probably say they win. But they didn't, they just did a Nintendo Direct. You don't get as huge of a reaction when you do a stream versus a conference with thousands of eager people. I wanted to mention this somehow before, but the words escaped me until now.

nah i liked it, only the nintendo portion though.

definitely nowhere near the best e3s though.

Although, I feel almost betrayed. I was sure Nintendo would up their game. This was extremely underwhelming; I expected more. Good titles, but half of them were being released in 2014.
Megaman in Smash is great, but it does not take away a disappointing showing. DKC on Wii U is great, but it looks exactly like the Wii game. And the new 3D Mario also looks exactly like the 3DS game. During the broadcast I thought it was a 3DS game to begin with. Not what I expected, and not what I wanted.

We're talking about E3 overall. The fact that Nintendo didn't have a conference is irrelevant. It wasn't such a big deal as everyone thought it would be, because the news exploded everywhere anyway like they would've. It's not like the couple hundred journalists and businessmen that attend E3 completely determine the worldwide reaction. And you can't say Sony gets extra points for the 30 minutes they rambled on about how "The Vita is stronger than ever" and ♥♥♥♥ like that and wouldn't get to the 1 or 2 interesting new reveals they had anyway. You can say that Nintendo was rather underwhelming in its announcements (I completely ♥♥♥♥ disagree I'm still orgasming over the new Smash), but Sony has it beat on how underwhelming it was at E3 overall, conference or not, and obviously Microsoft is out by default, may it RIP in peace.
