I'm new at TF2...

So yeah, like a week ago or so I downloaded Steam to play TF2. So far I've played against those practice bots and I've been in a few online matches. I kind of suck. :P But I still manage to get a few kills in, and I find it fun to play (I like the Scout and how fast he is xD). I've gotten two weapons for the Pyro so far, and... nothing else. :awe:

I made this topic because I wanted to ask if you people who seem to be better at this might have any advice to become better, or something I should try, etc. I like this game, and I would like to be at least kind of decent at it. xD

Random: I saw all the Meet The Team videos and read some of the comics. Not important, but still :3

http://wiki.teamfortress.com/wiki/Strategy

Read at least the Basic Class Strategies for each class, and if you want really helpful in-depth advice, read the Community Strategies for each class. That tells you info that you really need to know, but as with all games, the rest comes with practice.

Oh and as for weapons, you can get pretty much any weapon you want, at an exchange rate of 1 piece of scrap metal for 2 weapons at http://scrap.tf . If you don't have any scrap metal, I guess I could spare a few. Post your Steam ID.

When playing pyro, press the forward key (default is W) and shoot your flames for the best effect.

Also I'd recommend putting much hours into Soldier before going anywhere else.

You must be fun at parties if you even go to them. :3

Also as an Engineer, don't build your sentry at the last point of a map if the other team is 3 points away from your last point.

General practice, watch others play, and find servers at your level. There are some written guides on Steam that you could look at.
