He called her baby girl. That's what he called his daughter. This game is beautiful man.

Yeah, somehow giraffes have become relevant to Playstation. They even have one in their "Greatness Awaits" ad.

Wow. Just wow. Just finished the game.

I understand why Joel lied to Ellie. Sarah played a HUGE part of the story. He cared more for his daughter's life than humanity.

Amazing. 10/10.

That ad is filled to the brim with game references. One of them being The Last of Us.

@Raz...now that you've beaten the game...In the hospital right before you save Ellie, there are some recordings lying around that pretty much reveal Joel wasn't lying. The Fireflies did find others like Ellie, but they could never synthesize a vaccine. Ellie's death would have been in vain. I mean, regardless of this, I was still rooting for Joel in the end. I probably would have done the same thing.

I was crying the whole time I was holding ellie. I thought he or Ellie would be shot to death.

Also I'm glad to hear that. I'm glad Joel wasn't lying.

For all intents and purpose regarding the ending,
Joel still says this even if you don't find the recordings yourself, so even though he was right in the end, he was technically lying to Ellie.

The game was one piece of a great game!
Both Joel and Ellie are awesome, Ellie is cute and cool too :3
I hope im not the only one that hated the soldier that killed Sarah? :(
I also hope im not the only one that prefers to kill the enemies at bare fist then using weapons :3
I hated the Clickers! D: Those ♥♥♥♥♥ and their one-hit kill mechanic were terrible T-T
Until you get Dagger master :3 (I suppose is called like that, since im spanish and i have the spanish version)

But afterwards... The Bloated appeared... HOLY FREAKING F**K!
And then when Joel falls from the elevator and you end in something like a sewer and when you turn on a generator, it spawns like OVER 9000 Runners and Clickers!
And the nugget is when you are in the place with a long tight passageway and you must get the card while avoiding being cornered in a room by a Bloated! D:<
And the other thing i hated is when you are surrounded by Clickers, you use a dagger on one, but then right afterwards, another Clicker can grab you! TT-TT
The final fight agaisnt David was epic for me at least :3
And i got to admit, i call bullcr*p on the ending, probably the most boring ending i ever saw >->
But still the game is awesome! :D

Bump. My favourite game of all time, and obviously my game of the year, the last of us, has won IGN's GOTY.
http://www.ign.com/videos/2014/01/10/in ... f-the-year
IGN beautifully describes why it's possibly one of the best game ever and the best game of the year. Truly a work of art.

It also won the people's choice, which surprisingly beat GTA V. (Not so surprisingly beat 3D World but 3D World is still a top 10)

Sorry, I had to do it. But they're still wrong in this case because clearly Dual Destinies is GOTYAY and you won't hear me stop saying that until people stop hailing TLOU and Bioshook as masterpieces as they are simply good games.

On the subject of Game of the Year, where exactly is the love for Ni No Kuni and Dual Destinies? Both games barely got nominated for anything substantial.
