It looks amazing. i'll be honest, I've never played GTA before. I think I'll buy this one if it's on PC.

oooh. I don't know. This looks conflicting to me, a person who has played previous GTAs.

On one hand, Rockstar seems to be employing the fast and admittedly fun gunplay of Red Dead Redemption,
On the other hand they seem to want to keep those "pseudo-computer" bits from GTA IV, which was absolutely ♥♥♥♥ attrocious on the console versions of GTA IV. (Even the PS3 Browser is faster.)

Then there are the available activities. Tennis. Golf. Bike racing. I'm not liking the sports simulator in my open world sandbox idea (then again Saints Row's full retard isn't much better). The only thing I see redeeming the fact that GTA has gone full realism is the story, which they usually nail, more often than not.

This would be much better.

Anyone ever got this game? They say it got $1,000,000,000 (1 billion) in just 3 days.

I bought it online and getting it this weekend, if anyone else has this on xbox maybe we should play online?

That's kinda stretching. I think the makers of CoD Black Ops II once reported 24 million sales in one day. I kinda found that a bit hard to believe, despite the large fanbase of CoD. :P

On the main topic though, I never really played GTA, although I never really cared for it. Do you think a lot of people buy the game, then decide whether it's great or not, or actually look at the game first?

What bomberman said was true. It holds the world record for most money made so close to release date.

A lot of people buy GTA V because it's GTA and a lot of people like GTA.

also bomberman you are one of the last people I would have expected to buy a game like GTA, yay

That doesn't exactly answer my question, but okay. :3

I think most people who are at least somewhat in touch with modern game communities know what they're getting into with it. Even looking at the cover would give you a pretty good idea- women with the bare minimum amount of clothes, a bunch of guys with guns, fast cars. If you're looking at that and NOT extrapolating some pretty important gameplay elements, well, lets just say that critical thinking should be playing a part right now.

So, ultimately, I think a lot know what it's about and buy it anyway. I did, with GTA's earlier games. It's hard not to find some enjoyment in games like this, after all, pretty much everyone wants to pull crazy, illegal stunts without having to face up to any real consequences.

Myeah, but one could say the same thing with other games like Kirby Air Ride and Sonic Riders. I guess it's all preference.

I am proud to say that I'm not one of those people that are either "ITS NAME IS GTA I MUST BUY IT AND NEVER EVEN TOUCH THE GAME JUST TO SAY I HAVE IT" or "omg everybody is playing GTA I think I should buy it too just to be like everybody else" (yes there are a few exceptions but they are minority)
