My Votes:

Best Newcomer: The Last of Us
Why: show
This game brought me on an emotional thrillride. There were happy moments, there were really ♥♥♥♥ depressing moments, there were moments where you wanted to ♥♥♥♥ die because of how sad they were. The characters were amazing. Joel and Ellie had such a great connection and they both were so realistic. The ending was a very abnormal ending compared to the endings of other games. It wasn't a good ending. It wasn't a bad ending. It simply was an ending. I like that. It lets you choose what you want the ending to be, bad or good. The graphics were also amazing. The one bad thing about this game was that the gameplay wasn't amazing, (it wasn't bad either) but I feel the story makes up for it.

Best Online Game: Simcity
Why: show
This is the only game I've played and also liked in the whole list. It's by EA, which is leterally hitler, but I don't care. I liked the game and I suggest it to anyone. League of Legends is a close second but I did not find it fun. DayZ is both fun and I liked it but it has such a bad community and so many hackers that it loses a ton of points, on it's on, it's the best.H

Best Indie Game: Mark of the Ninja
Why: show
Because I haven't played any of the other games and I thoroughly enjoy playing a 2d Batman: Arkham game.

Best Handheld Game: Animal Crossing: 3DS
Why: show
It's so addicting. It's such an improvement frm the previous games, which were also amazing, that it shouldn't even be called animal crossing anymore. Luigi's mansion is a very close second[/i]

Best Storytelling: The Last Of Us
Why: show
It's the one apocalyptic zombie game that makes sense and does well making sense. Bioshock Infinite, like luigi's mansion, is extremely close to second.

Best Multiplayer: Payday 2
Why: show
Watch the mindcrackers play it.

Best Mobile Game: The Simpsons: Tapped Out
Why: show
It's not actually in the category but I vote it because it's the only mobile game I play actively, I actually voted super hexagon but I don't have a reason for choosing it.

Best Visual Design: Bioshock Infinite
Why: show
The last of us is in this category and I DIDN'T vote for it. Surprising, right? Bioshock Infinite has amazing graphics. Right at the beginning of the game you already have many amazing views. These views make the game look incredibly beautiful. Also it's steampunk.

Best Platform: Steam
Why: show
Sorry, but not sorry Azn. Valve very easily deserves to win. Valve is amazing, they treat their buyers amazingly, they have so many sales, so many great games, so many ways to earn money free (trading cards), I don't see why you DON'T think valve deserves this. (I know Steam isn't Valve but still it's ran by Valve)

Best Moment: The Last Of Us (Joel's Loss)
Why: show
So early in the game, and you are already crying over the loss of someone? How the hell could you form a connection with a character so fast? I don't know. It's amazing. It shows how great of a father Joel was and it pretty much sets the mood for the rest of the game. It makes you feel like you are very close friends with joel or something, or your his conscience. I love this scene so much. The Walking Dead was a close second but it didn't hit me as hard as The Last of Us' scene did.

Innovation of the Year: Oculus Rift
Why: show
This category sucks except for the Rift. The Ouya, in my opinion, is nothing but a ♥♥♥♥ console. The only good part about it is that devs like Suyo can put their own games on it. It isn't revolutionary, like something like the Oculus Rift is. The Oculus Rift is expanding our gaming experiences. The other categories for why they are not revolutionary or the best innovation are pretty obvious.

Studio Of The Year: Naughty Dog
Why: show
The Last of Us. Duh.

Youtube Gamer: Smooth McGroove
Why: show
I don't really care. I don't like any of these youtubers and I've only heard of the yogscast and smooth mcgroove. Smooth is cooler than the yogscast.

Most Wanted: Super Smash Bros
Why: show
It's Super Smash Bros. Duh. I actually really really really want Batman: Arkham Origins but Super Smash Bros is definitely more wanted.

Game of the Year: Grand Theft Auto V
Why: show
Rockstar spent so much money on this game, so much time, and it all came to this. The game only recently came out and it's made about...2 billion dollars or more. That's a world record. The game is amazing. It's not just Grand Theft Auto anymore. It's Grand Theft Tennis, Grand Theft Biking, Grand Theft.....a lot of things. While The Last Of Us is my favourite game ever, GTA is very obviously going to win GOTY for the amount of work put into it. It was worth it.

Remember, these are my opinions and I don't care if you disagree. especially about the Ouya, which I am pretty sure Suyo will ♥♥♥♥♥ about. ;)

Best Online Game
League of Legends
why: show
I looked over the other games. Guild Wars 2 and DotA 2 come close, but League of Legends is two things that these two games can't attest to being able to do at the same time- It's exciting to play and exciting to watch.

Best Indie Game
Mark of the Ninja
why: show
Out of all the Indie games, this was pretty much the only one that could possible consistently pull attention and deliver at the same time for many people. Including me.

Best Newcomer
The Last of Us
why: show
I really like Dishonored, but coming into the scene I think The Last of Us had a bigger impact than all the other games, especially over Bioshock Infinite. Woe is Bioshock Infinite.

Best Handheld Game
Hotline Miami
why: show
Because HOTLINE MIAMMMMMMMMMMMMIIIIIIIIIII and the other games don't sound as fun

Best Storytelling
The Last of Us
why: show
It does the job of making you care pretty well and it's all romantic and ♥♥♥♥ and can bring feels to immature kids and non-immature peoples alike. ALL THE FEELS PEWDS.

Best Multiplayer
Payday 2
why: show
I played Payday 1 at it's 20 dollar mark.

It was ♥♥♥♥ glorious.

Then Payday 2 storms in at the 40 dollar mark

It was even more ♥♥♥♥ glorious. Twice the glory, some might say. A new IP crime RPG heist simulator with plenty of co-op going around. It's like Left 4 Dead with not zombies.

Best Mobile Game
XCOM: Enemy Unknown
why: show
I played XCOM: EU on the console. They had enough smarts and balls to transfer it over to mobile devices. Not only was the main game really good, but so is the mobile version. Seriously.

Best Visual Design
The Unfinished Swan
why: show
Unfinished Swan by itself is just really good. It's also an artistic indie game that focuses on finishing an unfinished world through the use of dreams and ink and all that good stuff. so yeah, best visual design.

Best Platform
Steam
why: show
Pffffffffffffffft hahaha this decision was so difficullllllllffffffffffffffaaahahaha no it really wasn't.

Best Moment
Mass Effect 3 - Citadel DLC party
why: show
I actually had to take a moment with this one. I remember playing a few of these and I was all like, "Hmm. These moments where pretty good, but that DLC".

Long story short, the Citadel DLC party was basically like an overall epilogue and afterword to all the storylines for all the mass effect crew members, so even while the main game wasn't as good as it could have been, this DLC was like happily sitting down on a couch and saying to yourself, at an old age, "I've seen enough for one life" and passing away quietly. Or rather, with a bunch of people pissing ♥♥♥♥ over your ♥♥♥♥ ending. Ha.

Innovation of the Year
Twitch.TV
why: show
I know this might not make sense to some people but Twitch.TV really is the bomb.
Basically, it's like online streaming for anything related to games

So like, Let's Plays of Grand Theft Auto V? Got that. The latest tournament streams from eSports for League of Legends and Starcraft? They got that. Independent streams of just playing a multiplayer game? got that too. Crafting sculptures channels spanning several days for a single sculpture? They have those too. Everyone ranting about Beyond Two Souls? They have those too. It's basically legitimate game television that opens a whole world of opportunities once people start really getting into it. Minus the television part, probably. There might be an app for that.

Studio of the Year
Riot Games
why: show
Hmmm. This one really was a tough decision for me.

On one hand, developers like Naughty Dog, Ubisoft Montreal, and Telltale Games have managed to churn out a consistent series of games that manage to do what they aim to do, some of which but not all including the Uncharted Series with that blend of Indiana Jones/National Treasure classic action adventure feel, the Splinter Cell and Assassin's Creed series with their stealth and run around everywhere and kill everybody mechanics, The Walking Dead and Monkey Island series, and well, Poker Night at the Inventory because ♥♥♥♥ you all Virtual Poker with famous nerd icons is cool.

YouTube Gamer
Smooth McGroove
why: show
This man does it all. With obligatory cat shots. Lovely man he is. (I kind of have a thing for guys who do acapella)

Most Wanted
Watch Dogs
why: show
WAUCHHHHHHHHHHHHHHDOGSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
MODERN DAY ASSASSIN"S CREED WITH SIMPLISTIC HACKING CITY TAKEOVER MECHANICS. YESSSSSSSSSSSSSS

DAMNIT UBISOFT MONTREAL TAKE MY MONEY ALREADY AND SHUT UP. HERE, I'LL EVEN SHELL OUT FOR A NEW CONSOLE WHEN I BUY IT.

Game of The Year
Dishonored
why: show
This was mostly an anti-mainstream pick because I ♥♥♥♥ loved Dishonored for being what it was and having it compete with games like The Last of Us and Grand Theft Auto V.

I kind of understand the whole point, what with Dishonored not having as much quality content as either game, but still. It was a supernatural whalepunk stealth game with a bunch of tools that interacted with each other in various ways and multiple ways to traverse the levels. It was amazing.

inb4Razsez "Ridder plz Grand Theft Auto V is ama-" Shut up I know already
