Persona 4 Golden came out in Europe in February, but in 2012 everywhere else. If it counts, I nominate it.

I don't think that counts...but if it does I'm all for nominating EarthBound just because.

I nominate Super Smash Bros 8: Smash Bros vs Marvel vs Capcom vs SNK vs Tatsunoko vs Mortal Combat vs LittleBigPlanet vs Gears of Was vs Gabe Newell - Rise of the Ancients DLC for best game of 2013.

The release date is TBA 2069, but I'm pretty sure it counts, right?

Stop and think about this. A game like this would be... Amazing.

Also Gears Of Was, never heard of that.

While it would be all encompassing, I'd expect sales to suffer as part of the appeal in Smash Bros (and similar games) is beating opponents up with characters that you recognize and care for.

While there's a substantial amount of people who care for a lot if not all those franchises, they're not the majority- and to anyone without such an extensive knowledge of the characters that would be playable, it would likely seem intimidating. Character selection wouldn't be possible without a 20 foot screen. :p

As if the name itself wasn't already intimidating as ♥♥♥♥ lawl.

In terms of the games that I've played from this year, I would have to say that Fire Emblem: Awakening would be my favorite at this point in time.

inb4 the Villager. Valid point made. :(

EDIT: (Whoops. I used "talking down" wrong, too strong for what I meant.)

I don't think he was talking down SSB sales.

Karyete: Seriously, what is your problem? And not only that, you fail to even acknowledge you might be in some wrong here.
Karyete: Oooh it's you? Hello. Feel free to drop this right now. You're going to make yourself look like an idiot.
Karyete: We don't want to hear your opinion at this stage.
Karyete: You're not getting any apology, especially after now.

Personally I really loved Luigi's Mansion Dark Moon. Probably not to much surprise, but I really enjoyed everything on a whole. It was really fun and a great sequel to my favorite video game of all time. Even if the Ice Titan was one of the worst bosses I've even fought
But hey, beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
