Mega's Cave Story Hacking Adventures

Postby Megar » December 16th, 2013, 2:25 pm

Hey guys, I'm hacking Cave Story. Why? Why not?
Just in advance, it has references to the SMBX community in the transmissions. It's because I was talking about it while there.

Also I've done things in a random order. So beware of spoilers.
Demo 1: Start Point, Transmissions and (spoiler): show

The download comes with a trainer I've been using to skip the boss fight, Cave Editor because I'm too lazy to remove it and the profile to skip to the boss. Delete it if you want the transmissions.

The only problem I have with it is that the character doesn't really stand out and thus it wasn't the first thing I noticed

Karyete: Seriously, what is your problem? And not only that, you fail to even acknowledge you might be in some wrong here.
Karyete: Oooh it's you? Hello. Feel free to drop this right now. You're going to make yourself look like an idiot.
Karyete: We don't want to hear your opinion at this stage.
Karyete: You're not getting any apology, especially after now.
Karyete: You can stay up on your high horse, continue to twist the truth and act like an absolute child all you want. I refuse to give respect to a man who right now is picking up a dropped argument because he simply cannot fathom the idea that he might be in the wrong.

It's amazing, it combines all the retro games and is executed beautifully, the story is great, characters are lovable and best of all; it's free. It's literally a sin if you've not played it. Get it on PC. Or PSP. Or DS, Wii, 3DS, Steam, Mac. Go and play.

*Only the basic PC and Mac versions are free and can be found here. The other versions are enhanced remakes, but they cost money.

WRONG! PSP version is absolutely free. You just have to download another program along with it to play the game. Totally free as it's a fan mod. It's exactly like the PC version, just widescreen.
